The problem is that most of these shows you have to watch every single episode or you don't know what's going on... so you can't just jump into the show on TV and watch it, you have to catch up first. Lost is the only one of those shows I know of that has an easily accessible legal service to stream them online: on ABC's website. However, most of the others the only way to catch up would be to buy the DVD boxed sets, and most people will not go through those lengths. Older episodes need to become more accessible like what ABC did with Lost.
