Am I the only one who thinks autotune isn't a bad thing? As long as it's used in a way that makes it sounds better, it's fine by me. Do only 'bad' mathematicians use calculators? It's just a tool, isn't it?
It's ok when it's done as a parody, or a singular song effect where it actually matches but not constantly even if it sounds good with a singer if that's ALL they use, it just shows they're talentless
Am I the only one who is getting tired of hearing how Immortal Technique and Jedi Mind Tricks are the the only real rappers around? Why are these the only two who get mentioned when these discussions come up?
What ever happened to people like... you know, Snoop Dogg? And, you know, those thousands of other rappers out there? I don't really listen to rap other thanMac Lethel, but I'm pretty sure there are some amazing singers out there that are rappers.
Thank god Bob Dylan doesn't/didn't use autotune.

Every fuckin mainstream song today have "Got a feeling" "Tonight we'll get drunk" "We're going going to do it tonight". This is how the underground does it: Ocelot - Our Time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsq5kswszz0

Then again, I am SUPER accent-sensitive. I can't even understand the various American accents if you aren't from the North or Texas, and don't even bother speaking if you're eastern European because I probably won't catch a single word.

But I won't in any way respect the artist as much as one that does all the singing from scratch, cause I know a lot of musicians, singers and so on, that have worked incredibly hard to be able to do what they do, and just having some guy (not necessarily a bad person) reeking in profits becuase of computer generated enhancements must be very frustrating. I'm simply saying that it requires less effort (I don't really care about "it can take hours in the studio or whatever"), and while the artist can still make good lyrics, produce some great instrumental, I'll respect him/her for that, and not something else.
