Bet they're really glad they decided to try and please a different market.

Now we wait for a cargo ship carrying Skyrim, to be attacked by pirates

The state.
These will go to shady cd-key websites or ebay no doubt.
I'd do it for GTA V
Wow sounds like something out of Payday The Heist.
Thought of the start of GTA 3
Risking prison and or your life for some video games, I can't even comprehend this.
I mean shit, I love video games, but there's a line...
I can comprehend it. They saw that some idiot paid $1700 for a copy, stole 6000 copies, and are expecting to make millions. Makes perfect sense to me, either that or they have ALOT of friends who play CoD.
Probably a retarded publicity stunt.
"HEY LOOK, PEOPLE LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH THEY'RE WILLING TO ASSAULT TRUCKS FULL OF IT WITH POLICE-GRADE WEAPONRY AND STEAL THEM! BUY IT BEFORE THE GANGS TAKE EVERY COPY!"
If the 1500 dollar copy is anything to go by, they just made around $9,000,000, if they can get rid of all the copies before street date.
Yea because 6,000 copies being sold before the (very near) release date wouldn't raise any suspicion. No, they're going to sit on them for a little while, let everything settle, probably move it to other parts of the country, and sell them off discretely, through eBay and whatnot.

I see you read the thread.
Great job.
And that just doesn't make sense, why would it be a publicity stunt?

For money. The copies will probably make their way into the gray market.

Sounds like a lot of money.
its for money, not video games. No one would rob 6000 copies of the same game just to play them. they obviously did it for the 400,000 euros
And it has minimal damages really, it probably costs them like 5 bucks to make the case+disc
They're not in it for the game, there in it for the money.
Just like Activision then wotwotwotwot
I've actually been playing this a couple of days ago (Bought it at normal price of course). Shocked me to think how valuable they were abroad! Our local game store doesn't care much for release dates so we get things before everyone else.

It's actually pretty good. The gun-control and stuff is a lot more realistic, kind of like a cross between Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops.

You dumb or what? It's just a theft, and they won't probably even play the games. Hell, they probably pass it on to friends/family and sell them forward for little profit. Less than what stores would've gotten anyway.
Something along those lines, criminal conspiracies you know.
Anyway, as you said "risking prison / your life for video games" is the same as risking prison / your life for any other product shipment that you steal. Games are good business anyway, and these criminals realize that. They don't give a shit about playing the game.

I haven't gone through until the ending, would you like more pictures of the case and a note or something?
40,000 euros? That would mean each copy of the 6000ish would be around 66 euros each to produce. Bullshit.

Physical loss != Virtual loss
These guys are actually sitting on CoD sales money.

This was obviously a goverment heist, they need more modern warefare copys so their troops can get the training they need. They couldent pay for it after buying all those Payday: The Heist video games so their troops could train for situations like this.

whoops, missed a zero :P thanks

Are you serious. post spoiler images please? Anything about the single player and not multiplayer.
Ahaha wow.
I find it funny that some of the posters in this thread can't grasp the concept that they stole the games for profit and not for playing.
