But then who started the assery?

Usually nobody, resulting in a lot less assery in general. :3c
If nobody were to judge anything, everyone would be the same - literally.
Every piece of art would be a blank piece of paper, because it couldn't be judged or analyzed so there'd be nothing to provoke the reader with.
Everyone would dress the same, have the same haircut, because why express yourself if it's not to be given a reaction or visually represent one's inner self.
Hell nobody'd be good to judge so one's inner self would be as fascinating as a frozen potato, because no personal preferences could be established.
She's chosen an appearance that she prefers, and apparently without pre-judging it's possible consequences.
I've done the exact same, with my coloured hair, jeans without knees, and leather jacket - Why can't she accept the faith she's chosen while everyone is well aware of Newton's third law in a social perspective?
How do you even get it this backwards? You're basically saying that prejudice and discrimination are okay because without them there'd be no differences to celebrate. But you lack the self-awareness to realize that the woman in the article was discriminated against because she didn't conform to social norms. This is like going to an art museum, to use your metaphor, and throwing acid on a painting you don't like because it doesn't match that painter's other works. "He should have known he'd attract a response if he painted that way," is your justification.
But let's take this a level further, because you're being a bigot and you need to realize it now. Let's imagine if that woman really was a transwoman and got kicked out of the restroom for it. I'm sure, based on your logic, that it would be acceptable because that person obviously didn't try hard enough to pass as a woman. You're now actively encouraging discrimination against a minority because they look too much like a minority. You're the sort of person who, 50 years ago, would approve of an interracial couple getting thrown out of a restaurant. "What happened to people respecting social boundaries?" you ask. "They should have known they'd attract a response if they went out together like that."
Hell, even your painting metaphor seems apt. I can just imagine a dude sitting on a porch somewhere in rural Mississippi saying "if nobody cared about preserving racial purity, everyone would be the same. We'd all be some muddy color between black and white. People need to consider the consequences."
Your opinion is pretty awful, that's what I'm saying.
What exactly happened to accepting criticism?
If I walk down the street in pink kneehigh socks then I'm judged, and I'd be stupid if I though otherwise.
Girl's masculine, should fix herself up or face social judging - just like everyone and everything else in the world.
hahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaha oh wow

So basically, you should judge someone when they try to be different, so that they will not be the same as everyone else (also called being different)?
Gawsh, it's not like people have valid critiisms of the whole transgender stuff. Everyone that disagrees with me is an ignorant normie that should go back to the time that I think is the worst time EVARRRR, the 1950!
They don't, no, there is no "valid criticism" of "the whole transgender stuff." It's called minding your own business.
I think tools really got over his head with his pseudo intellectual nonsense post about how judging artwork is no different to just flat out bullying someone (in a bathroom)
Gawsh, it's not like people have valid critiisms of the whole transgender stuff. Everyone that disagrees with me is an ignorant normie that should go back to the time that I think is the worst time EVARRRR, the 1950!
Do you also have valid criticisms of homosexuality, or anxiety/depression suffers, or just people with issues with their gender identity?
I've had to kick men out of the womens bathroom before for shaving in there and stuff like that. I was talking about it the other day with co-workers and this topic came up.
Man, I wouldn't even know what to do. I have no idea what the policy is and like, if customers are complaining I don't even know. I'd have to call my boss or something before I go opening that can of worms.
It's not really related to the article, it's just making me think again. Man that would suck.

wow you totally got me there

She looks cute. I don't understand why women need to have long hair to look "Girly"
the confusion is understandable, she does look like a man
Not only are you just wrong that she looks like a man, but you're also being a dickhead; come on dude no one should be treated that way, in no way was it "understandable"
Gawsh, it's not like people have valid critiisms of the whole transgender stuff. Everyone that disagrees with me is an ignorant normie that should go back to the time that I think is the worst time EVARRRR, the 1950!
Ahh yes valid criticisms of transgenrdism such as ________ and ________.
And no you're not a normie for disagreeing with me. You're a bigot because the only way you can "disagree" with transgenderism is to ignore facts because you find us trans people icky or something.

This sums my opinion pretty well.
it's Walmart would you expect anything other?
if we let black people in the same restaurants as white people it'll just cause more conflicts
somehow i don't feel like the situations these two groups face/faced are even close to being comparable.
can we stop relying on references to the civil rights movement to shut down any sort of potential opposition to matters relating to LGBT stuff?
It's a sad day in world history when you can't even take a craps..
I dont get this. It is the biggest grocery chain in USA.
Here in Germany everybody buys groceries. So grocery chains get to show an average, if not a really slightly below average of the population.
Everytime I see such a post it translates in my head to "It is USA, what do you expect?"
[editline]17th May 2016[/editline]
Care to elaborate on why you dont "feel" like they are comparable?
Well in the US it's a shit hole. Download app "the people of Wal-Mart"

Did you miss the part where he said the confusion was understandable, not "the way they treated her was understandable"?
It's literally 10% of his entire post.

This sincerely looks like a guy to you?? Then shit I guess I'd be mistaken too because I have even shorter hair then her :v:
How about a picture of her standing in generic clothes from behind?
How about a picture of her standing in generic clothes from behind?
Either you're the most judgemental person ever or this is a sneaky way of asking for pictures of her ass, I can't tell.
lol
How about a picture of her standing in generic clothes from behind?
How is that relevant?

Honestly it depends on the location. The Wal-Mart near me has more middle and upper class shoppers than "white trash". It is known as "The Country Club" internally.
She should have pulled her pants down and shown everyone how much of a man she is. Then probably get arrested for indecent exposure. What a bunch of idiots.

i once saw a guy who was vaguelly femine from behind and wearing normal clothes so i beat the shit out of the faggot
because we should always immediately decide these things without even looking at their face
How is that relevant?
It is relevant because most likely this is how the encounter happened? Unless I have misread the article and didn't notice the fact where she got told off right in her face.
Don't tell me you haven't been in a situation where you thought someone is (fe)male from behind when in reality it turned out to be (fe)male.

do you really think this encounter happened with her standing with her back facing to them the entire time

If that's really how the situation started it certainly didn't stay that way. And still doesn't justify anyone's behavior.

Sometimes I see what looks like a cute girl in the distance, but then I get close and it's an old lady.
