I work in an industry where fucked up accidents do happen. I know people that lost their eyes because caustic-soda got sprayed in them because they weren't wearing safety glasses and I know people who have had steel girders break their backs because they walked by the wrong place at the right time. None of those people deserve what happened to them, but people who don't take proper precautions are fucking idiots.

Of course people there hit the emergency button, but by then it was already too late. Nobody could really have stopped it, unfortunately.

I've gained a fear of woodchippers and want to stay away from them as much as possible after reading that other story about a man's young son who was only a toddler that got pulled into one trying to help his dad.

Using your foot is stupid but let's not judge. I noticed new people on jobs try to look like they know what they're doing, they're accustomed the the machines or whatever. They do shit like this. It's much more relatable than some might think and should hit home a little
