She has a family with two children, a job to sustain this sort of behavior, a happy life. She obviously goes out pretty damn often in a nice city that she lives in. Everyone in the thread, bar a few people, are making fun of and vilifying her and going on about how she's blowing her money and god think of the children, but then in the article it states that one year, her challenge was to do all of the clothes shopping for her and her family at Goodwill. She's having fun setting and accomplishing interesting goals, she may have an iPhone, and according to the blog that she has, she is a professional photographer, which, given the fact that she can afford to spend 20 bucks a day for herself on starbucks, she is probably doing reasonably well. The term Hipster is so loose that you can't really define it. The thing is though is that she fits the perfect stereotype of someone who does something because it's cool. The iPhone may be a wonderful device, but do you honestly believe that even 50% of people purchasing one are researching phones before they buy an iPhone?
