Now that's a creative way of pointing something out.
Never understood the point of Facebook. If I want to contact a friend, I'll call him on Skype or message him on Steam or send him an email (or, you know, just fucking call on his cellphone). If I want to contact many friends I'll throw up a Skype conference or Steam multi-chat. Everything else that Facebook does is just unnecessary.
Here's a thought, Facebook is shit on every platform (PC included) and always will be.
You're just mad no one wants to be friends with you.

Facebook is there to keep yourself updated with what's going on in your friends' life, planning easily a party or an event, chat easily (it's easier and faster to connect to facebook and chat than launching skype). You might not find that necessary, but to millions of users, it is at least incredibly useful. Calling someone also is expensive if you don't have an unlimited call offer. And texting ain't really as comfy as using a keyboard.

It's a means of communication, just because you don't use it doesn't mean it's useless.
Finally! The Android Facebook app sucks ass
Yep the current one does, I still use a Facebook app from years ago.
Here's a thought, Facebook is shit on every platform (PC included) and always will be.
But they made a movie
Why hasn't Facebook died out yet?
If I press the home button on my Galaxy S2 whilst using Facebook, it gets shunted into the background like it should, but then decides to start using 60-70% of my phone's CPU at once and drains the fuck out of the battery. How the fuck you design an app so that it uses more resources running in the background doing nothing then using it I don't know.
Why hasn't Facebook died out yet?
Because people use it and there isn't another service that can compete with them strongly.
The facebook app for windows phone is the best I've ever used. (The one you download from the market)
It's a little slow at times but I can do what I need in less time it takes me on iOS or Android, way better than those 2 They probably should update it so profiles show their cover photos on the banner where facebook is.
I got rid of it because I had no use for it (not that anyone would, really), and it keeps trying to reinstall itself onto my phone. Just like Norton's anti-virus on my PC.
new community update does have statuses and likes but facebook is still better because i only have like 3 pc gaming friends
Oh but I'm talking how diverse you can make it, with facebook (and I guess G+) you can share photos, videos and if you want your location in the same status, Steam (?) and Skype only allow text
Read some of the reviews on the app store. Its hilarious.
Oh god I'm not the only who thinks it's a shit app?
you cant even see people's info pages anymore through the app on android
The only thing facebook related that works great on android is Messenger, using facebook app's messenger was horrible

I don't see why some people here are completely hating on Facebook. I use it because I want to get in contact with friends and people I haven't seen in a long time. Plus it's just convenient because it's probably the top visited site next to Google and 99% of everyone I know uses it as a means of communication. To the people that provide no reason to dislike it other than just because, get off the dead bandwagon.
I've never really had issues with it. A few times its dropped its connection and I still don't know how to upload videos with it (been using a 3rd party app)
I've never really had issues with it. A few times its dropped its connection and I still don't know how to upload videos with it (been using a 3rd party app)
It's worked alright for me in the past, but it's honestly not even up to the same functionality as the mobile website, other than giving me useless notifications for seemingly random things.
Yeah, the fucking Android app sucks balls. It takes like 5 hours to even start and usually crashes.
Yeah, it tends to be when you have no one to add.
or maybe because facebook has become gradually terrible over the past 4 years? [editline]24th August 2012[/editline]
Your name is Amiga OS your argument is automatically invalid.
what is that even supposed to mean?
Finally! The app page alone is littered with people having issues with the damn thing. Finally now Facebook is making them use the shit they program. God damn, it's so annoying when the app doesn't work on my wi-fi, but works on my data. Or when it randomly loses connection yet my internet is perfectly fine. Etc etc. This is greatly needed and I look forward to them actually fixed the god damned thing.

Because having access to all your friends directly on your computer/laptop/device-of-your-choice is so much easier than having to open your web browser and longin into some shitty website.
