I wouldn't be surprised if Sony goes under because of this.

Nobody will be another one of their products ever again.

Sony make a lot more electronics than just games consoles and TVs. They won't go under jsut because one division is having a hard time.

They'll certainly have a hell of a PR job though.
What would suing them even accomplish? It's just kicking them when they're down.

Because everyone likes to fuck with the major corporations, the heartless soulless fascist devils of our time.
i can understand them though
people want their lost money back
Go to bank, claim it as a fraudulent charge, problem solved.
I don't care what happens, so long as I lose no money and the network comes back.
Die, Sony.
Die.
Where's my fucking share of the cut? it affected more than just American's i've been literally tearing my hair out over the phone to the card companies today.
I don't care what happens, so long as I lose no money and the network comes back.
i had to cancel my card but those hackers still got my adress and i dont know what theyll do with it, and they could use yours for whatever the fuck
i dont like either the hackers or sony atm, but i feel a bit sorry for sony even if they made a huge fricking mistake
Why do you people actually want Sony to go under? They're the only company this gen that are actually providing extremely high quality exclusives, and some of them are actually innovative.

for me, i dont want them to go bankrupt. but they should pay for the consequenses etc
Someone, somewhere, is rolling in millions of dollars right now.
Billions
I haven't been paying attention to the whole Sony thing that's been happening.
I come back to Facepunch and I see this. WHAT DID I MISS?
to put it simply
PSN goes down one day, no official explanations, people assume it was anon
PSN stays down for an unusually extended amount of time, people get suspicious, people find out that these hackers stole their personal information, Sony officially made a statement yesterday (I think) that all of the customers' data has been stolen
massive lawsuits forthcoming
Why do you people actually want Sony to go under? They're the only company this gen that are actually providing extremely high quality exclusives, and some of them are actually innovative.
Personally, I just hope the worst thing that happens is that they wind up going thirdparty like Sega and Atari. At least that way, they can still have a gaming division
I personally think people are putting too much emotions into this whole situation. Seriously don't hesitate to get in on suing them if you're affected by this. Remember they're a big corporation who would take total pride in suing you 100,000's of dollars (and practically fucking over your whole life, just to line their own pockets with what is pocket change to them) if you happened to pirate a simple $60 game.

If they give you a "share", go pay for some english classes or something.

I'm not saying you can't do that, it's just that the fanaticism with which people have been hating on Sony recently is almost disturbing (before the PSN debacle). Feels like I'm in some sort of politically unstable country.
Whoops, sorry about that.

Or perhaps you're a Sony fanboy seeing hate that doesn't exist
I like Sony too, the PS3 is a great system, but seriously they need to face some kind of penalty for this blatant negligence

Are you suggesting I want to see Sony get off scot-free? My good man, perish the thought. Let's solve this squabble by drinking some tea and watching tennis.
But yeah, Sony fucked up, no doubt about that. But if I didn't know anything about the situation and just read the reactions, I'd almost think that Sony dropped a nuke on an orphanage or something.
The creators of the Playstation2 don't deserve this shit :smith: I love my PS2.

Most definitely.

I hope what happens to Sony is that they'll still remain largely the corporation that it is today, except that they'll get something out of this and work so that something like this doesn't happen again

They lost 77 million people's account info. This is a pretty big deal.

Just for the record, I'm talking about the past few months, not just the PSN fuckup.

I haven't seen any hate and I own a ps3. I seen way more the xbox and wii. How come your always there to defend videogame companies?
