You'd have ask her that.
Why are you so opposed to opening the primaries to all people? What do you think will happen? What reason do you think it could be harmful other than "its their club only they can vote!!"
Because political parties are independent organizations, not government institutes that are free for anyone to have a say in. It's not an open door for just anyone to come in and start changing the political platforms that the party holds. If the party wants to change directions, that is up to the party, not for an outside force to come in and force them to.
Don't pull a strawman. Votes are different from deadlines to be able to vote. It's a human right to be able to vote. You should be able to vote for whoever you want when the time comes.
And they do.
In the general election.

But in today's society the president can only be one of these two parties. You can argue all you want that that's not true, and anyone with enough support can make it, but there's a reason Bernie ran as a dem instead of independent. Today, there's no practical way for an independent or an outsider to make it far enough. So when a country's leader is dependent on two private organizations, maybe the government should step in to make a few rules to make it more fair.

That's the first past the post system's fault, not the parties themselves.
Anyways I gotta go to work. Hopefully we all learned a little something today :tried:

I too must go to work. But I feel you haven't learned a damn thing except to continue blaming the wrong things.

How you reliably keep posting things that are either ignorant or misinformed is beyond me. It's like you actually read only the title and fail to realize there's an article underneath it.
Well, so much for going to a campaign center to get Bernie memorobilia while he's still in the race.
Now I'll have to spend money on the Internet.
This isn't the end. Someone will take's on bernie's work and idea to the next election. It can't be a one-time possibility only.
Bernie has shown to the united states that socialism isn't wrong at all and that everyone are corrupted. Everyone was against him : Especially your tv channel, which covered very little of bernie and "<<<Misheard>>>" what he is saying, using his own word against him. The chance can get biggers. More and more american will notice that in the future. I'm confident in the fact that United States could be a better country with Socialism.

If Clinton wins this election you probably won't see that until 2024.

It's not like clinton will makes this country into a nazi government where everything is censored and where nothing is democratic. The election are still here. The concept of power separated in 3 are still here. Basically, the citizen still got the powers to change their leaders.

I meant because she'd be the incumbent democrat in 2020, and you won't get a socialist republican nominee.
In the UK primary elections are kind of rare but if you want to vote in them or party leadership elections you generally have to pay a membership fee and officially join the party, and you can get kicked out if they find out you've supported other parties or opposing candidates recently. The way that primaries are so institutionalised in the US and almost seem like official state elections has always been a bit weird to me, but whatever. I never really understood how/why the GOP and Democrats synchronise their primaries in a lot of states, for example.

Because they're organized through the state election offices, which is a branch of the state government.
