It is what it is called. It was meant for installing another OS on the PS3. However, since it had security issues the best choice was to remove it. The majority of PS3 users would rather have an online experience without any cheaters who use this to install custom cheat software (which does in fact exist, and is being used).
You should blame the company and server hoster of said game for the fact that cheats can be used. Why punish the lot when one sinned?
Loose floorboard + hide stuff inside + place easily moved furniture over it = no confinscation
It worked in the Soviet-controlled East Berlin, surely it should work in modern Germany. [editline]1[/editline] Oh wait, Sony is already more evil than the Stasi, nevermind.
Well that depends on how far Geo's "hack" using OtherOS went. It must have gone pretty far to warrant a removal.
Uh geohot didn't start on a ps3 jailbreak til after sony removed otherOS. Please know what you're talking about.
You are an idiot. I won't even bother argue with you.
Be sure to rate them tool.
You should blame the company and server hoster of said game for the fact that cheats can be used. Why punish the lot when one sinned?
How about punishing the cheat creators, the ones who ARE the reason they can be used. It's like I end up in a car crash because I drive recklessly and then blaming the guy who sold me the car and the car manufacturer.
How about punishing the cheat creators, the ones who ARE the reason they can be used.
Because they can be released anonymously. Why not just fix the fucking exploit in the servers?
How about punishing the cheat creators, the ones who ARE the reason they can be used. It's like I end up in a car crash because I drive recklessly and then blaming the guy who sold me the car and the car manufacturer.
From what I've seen in the PS3 "hacking" scene, that would be a good 90% of the scene. Very few people are actively working to restore the OtherOS feature.
You should blame the company and server hoster of said game for the fact that cheats can be used. Why punish the lot when one sinned?
"Because everyone is a sinner." That was the best time I had in religion class when I was like 6 years old.
"Because everyone is a sinner." That was the best time I had in religion class when I was like 6 years old.
Good job that proves nothing and is irrelevant to the discussion.
From what I've seen in the PS3 "hacking" scene, that would be a good 90% of the scene. Very few people are actively working to restore the OtherOS feature.
Another great reason as to why consoles will never be open.
Another great reason as to why consoles will never be open.
You're under the impression that those who make trainers are in the same ball park as those like Chokolo and Geo
You're under the impression that those who make trainers are in the same ball park as those like Chokolo and Geo
No I'm not actually, I know there are good hackers. But consoles will never ever be as open as hackers want them to, fact.
What the hell is wrong with Germany? Why can a company steal back their stuff just because you didn't use it in the way they would like you to use it?
No I'm not actually, I know there are good hackers. But consoles will never ever be as open as hackers want them to, fact.
You act as if the likes of Geo and Chokolo are in the same group as those who release trainers. Point being, they're far from similar. [editline]13th April 2011[/editline]
What the hell is wrong with Germany?
You act as if the likes of Geo and Chokolo are in the same group as those who release trainers. Point being, they're far from similar.
You act as if I'm one of those people who thinks all hackers are bad. Point being, I'm not.
You act as if I'm one of those people who thinks all hackers are bad. Point being, I'm not.
I'm just saying you shouldn't group them in the same scene.
I'm just saying you shouldn't group them in the same scene.
And I'm saying you shouldn't be making stupid assumptions based off one post that isn't even vaguely saying those 2 groups are similar.
Oh wow, you're implying that companies keeping their games up to date from exploits, bugs, and glitches is a bad thing? There's no point in continuing this. I'm out.
[img_thumb]http://gyazo.com/66d2d8a6ae31b819805c05d440d215d8.png[/img_thumb] Oh wow, you're implying that companies keeping their games up to date from exploits, bugs, and glitches is a bad thing?
You are making some seriously weird assumptions here, bro.
That was directed to the person who rated me, not you.
That was directed to the person who rated me, not you.
Yet you're still making a nice and almost insulting assumption based off a rating.
Yet you're still making a nice and almost insulting assumption based off a rating.
I was suggesting that companies fix problems in their games and he called that dumb. It's common sense, "bro".
permaban sony for raiding
I was suggesting that companies fix problems in their games and he called that dumb. It's common sense, "bro".
Or how about not just shifting the burden to the game developers? How about, I don't know, attacking the users and/or creators?
-Sniped- Too slow to reply.
You are making some seriously weird assumptions here, bro.
Actually, his assessment is pretty good. Except for the fact that orgornot is giving dumb ratings to every post made by those who disagree'd with him, without actually paying attention to the content of the post. So really all it implies is that orgornot is a child.
I'm really wondering if they had a warrant to do so, and if there's any police report on this. Even if he lives in a rented house and they got consent from his landlord to enter, they still don't have any right to take his belongings.
Actually, his assessment is pretty good. Sometimes it's not as simple as "patching the game".
From what I've seen in the PS3 "hacking" scene, that would be a good 90% of the scene. Very few people are actively working to restore the OtherOS feature.
It's not because Sony has scared the legitimate one's shitless  Nope, not at all.
I rated that post in particular dumb because he obviously doesn't know how anti-cheat systems work. Sometimes it's not as simple as "patching the game".
And you rated the rest dumb because you cannot understand the content and context and therefore think the poster is dumb.
