Come on Obama. Wheres the change at? Wheres the hope?
wheres the grammar at
It died along with his popularity.
Now everyone just Hopes he will go away
It's not like these polls are really that accurate. Do you really think 100% of the population partakes in some sort of survey?
It's not like these polls are really that accurate. Do you really think 100% of the population partakes in some sort of survey?
The idea is to poll a broad enough sample of the population that your results are relatively accurate
The idea is to poll a broad enough sample of the population that your results are relatively accurate
Impossible. Everybody thinks very differently. You could get 5 separate groups, each of 5,000 people, and they would all have different approval scores. Therefore these are biased and inaccurate.
The idea is to poll a broad enough sample of the population that your results are relatively accurate
Relatively, but when speaking about a 1-2% margin of difference it's impossible to be completely accurate. For all we know the majority of the population does support Obama.
Just saying.
People are sheeple, though. Something like this alone will convince more people to "disagree" with Obama.
It's normal for approval ratings drop when nothing has happened.
Something like 60% of Americans are non independent thinkers, meaning they believe anything, so appealing to the idiot majority is enough for him.
Something like 60% of Americans are non independent thinkers, meaning they believe anything, so appealing to the idiot majority is enough for him.
So I believe that you and everyone who agrees with you is in the 40%, hmm?
And the numbers are more like 10%.
Less than half of America disagrees with his ideas, so they want to use his personal popularity to rally support. Shouldn't a politician do what the people want, instead of what he wants?
They should never do this.
To me it looks like america is falling apart.
Besides you idiots wanted a president wich makes hard decitions and not just put them away like bush.
Now you have president that actually does something just like you wanted. And now you are pissed about it?
Maybe it would be good time for america to wake up from their perfect democracy dream.
The country always looks like its falling apart in the face of a big issue.
depression - people thought the country was falling apart
WW2 - people saw the world fall apart
Cold War - people thought of nuclear apocalypse end of U.S etc
late 60's everyone thought every political official was corrupt
70's-80's everyone thought it was going to be another depression
2003 - weapons of mass destruct amirite?
People are also stupid. Capitalism always has a rough down time before it shoots back up again people are just impatient and make things even worse. Don't get me wrong though theirs still some major things that need fixing like shipping jobs over sea's
You can't please everybody you know. Well it's not like the other candidate would fare better
wheres the grammar at
Yea, wheres the grammar at?
A country hates its leader despite having democratically elected him? Holy shiiiiiit
But the man has a little over three years to go. We couldn't get rid of Bush until elections, how are we going to deal with him, if everyone ends up disliking him, with three years still to go?
Durrr, everyone disliked bush with 3 years to go as well.
A country hates its leader despite having democratically elected him? Holy shiiiiiit
Well, most people tend to mindlessly vote for whoever's mug they see the most....

That's why they don't poll people from just one place
No. The people are idiots. Which is why politicians have never done that.
except for the fact that politicians are people. They just talk the talk and walk the walk better, and can convince people to follow them or get someone else to convince people to follow them.
Also one of the main reasons people are such "sheeple" is that the education system is fucked and half the teachers in most schools don't give a shit, not just because they're the "Rabble".

You can't even spell your own retarded buzzword
The schools really are in trouble

P.S. politicians generally have a degree in political science or a related field

That's their fault. If they actually thought that electing a new president would make everything fine again.
edited for spelling.

exactly, they are more skilled with politics, but they are still people, and the average politician isn't really that much smarter than the average person, they just talk better, and have more training in politics.

America is full of idiots. It would be best not to listen to the people. Look at that 9/12 rally.
Yeah.

If they're educated in politics that means that they know how the law works and how the government is run in detail. Which is very important to know, if you want to have any credibility when you tell us how to run a country.

You have far too much faith in our politicians. Sure they went through law schools and know some more about how our government works, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will use that knowledge, or that they are less of an idiot. Knowing facts doesn't increase your IQ.
No. The people are idiots. Which is why politicians have never done that.
You say that like politicians aren't people.
I'm glad we agree.
I'm tired of the non-Americans in this thread shouting "yeah fuck you you voted 4 him you guys suck deal w/ it"
It was either Obama or McCain with the crazy son of a bitch Palin, it could be a helluva lot worse, people.
as stephen colbert called it, a majority of 40% hate him and a minority of 60% love him

Could have voted 3rd party. If people would stop voting for the lesser of two evils and actually voted for someone they liked, we might actually have a competent government.

Third parties usually don't have enough funds for major advertising of themselves. They might be for a noble cause, but in the end, it's who has the most money that gets the spotlight. And most people who barely have just a general understanding of politics only focus on who they see on television, or who they hear on the radio.

I agree with this, I truly think that if Bob Barr would've had the money to run a proper campaign, I think he would've won.
