I hope Bioware wins, but they're not. It's inevitable since FPS appeals to the general public much more than RPG games.

At a developers standpoint, Valve should win. I think they communicate better with their fans a lot more than Bioware does. [editline]10:55PM[/editline] It's actually quite funny because I could care less about the Escapist, but somewhat care about this poll.

Hard choice, but the possibility of Valve having a sale for winning makes me vote for them.

A tough choice, but I'll have to go with Valve, I will say, they both make absolute, fucking top quality games though.

I've played all of their games and I like them both a ton. But Valve has in my opinion brought more to the table.

Valve may take their own good time to bring us good content, but they also have a game engine that has been used and loved for over a decade, valve has my vote for sure.

I'll probably get rated dumb but I was hoping Blizzard to beat BioWare. Not because of WoW but because of their great RTS's

I don't see why Blizzard lost to Bioware either, the SC2 Beta is topnotch and Blizzard basically popularized MMORPGs, Hack n Slash, and RTS games... Now I ask you, what did Bioware do? You gotta remember, this is a developer showdown, its not all about the games you liked, its about who is the most awesome developer. Valve has Steam. I believe that alone is enough to guarantee their success.

I'd vote for Bioware because Valve hasn't made a decent game since 2007.

Honestly I hope Bioware wins, but I guess that's just me.[/QUOTE] I kinda agree that the Orange Box was better, basically cause you got 5 amazing games in 1 box, especially Team Fortress 2, I still play that non-stop to this day, but Left 4 Dead was far more successful than The Orange Box and it was more popular and more promoted by VALVe. Left 4 Dead 2 was even more successful which became VALVe's biggest seller to-date. So Valve last released a great game in November 2009 ;) Also, Valve have done far much more than what Bioware have ever done, I like both of them but VALVe's games are just more better. oh fuck... valve won... and when i think of what they made to win it... i'm getting this weird setup in my mind that says they shouldn't. in my oppinion it's the episodes + TF2 vs BG series (the game that revived modern RPG's WITH A STORYLINE. diablofags.) NWN (read: shitgame but fantastic modding community) the most modded game around. they also did Mass Effect, which i'm not much into, but it's popular as hell. lastly, dragon age served a Baldur's Gate esque experience after the revolution of one button casual games. guess who i think should have won. yeah, i'm biased as hell. but i like both.
