Well yeah, if your workers had no concept of anything but food and things that can kill them. Paper is neither.
Not according to peta
I find it even more hilarious that some idiot will probably agree with PETA on this.
More like 2 million members, most of them brainwashed fools who use animal products each day.
Well yeah, if your workers had no concept of anything but food and things that can kill them. Paper is neither.
I saw some broke whales on the beach a while back, and tried to give low-income housing, but they never paid rent and eventually stunk up the place really bad. We ate whale for month though! [editline]27th October 2011[/editline]
More like 2 million members, most of them brainwashed fools who use animal products each day.
I'm pretty sure everyone in the entire world uses animal products every day.
"A mosquito, is a worm, is a human." Bull fucking horse shit. I've seen one of these kinds of people go crazy and damn near assault a small boy for going around and stomping on ants. P.S. *Obligatory "People Eat Tasty Animals" comment*
So, if the whale is human, does that mean that "Shamu" can be put in a human jail?
What about all the cats and dogs that PETA themselves "dispose" of at their own facilities? What about their rights?
Am I the only one that feels like this should be seen as a more beneficial thing? If you euthanise an animal all its problems stop. Sure there will be no more good feelings but the animal won't know any unpleasantries - so there are no unpleasantries. If we just euthanized most shelter dogs and got purebred it'd be a lot better.
As much as I hate peta, Cetaceans should never be kept in aquariums. [editline]26th October 2011[/editline] Though Cetaceans are not people.
PETA: Modern-day animal Nazis
PETA's half right Breeding animals for show and keeping them in tiny enclosures should be illegal
PETA's half right Breeding animals for show and keeping them in tiny enclosures should be illegal
It is nice that they aren't being eaten by things stronger than them, though I suppose that we need shelters for that. Hey, there's an idea. Wounded whales and such are taken in and given aid until they're good again. Probably pretty expensive, but I'd say it's most of the benefits of using them for entertainment and none of the negatives, though endangered species need to be sheltered.
What, just because the whales happen to be mostly black, PETA thinks they're slaves? Fucking racist assholes.

Got the guy arrested. Also, Orca are apex predators. They even eat sharks and other whales.
Well I think someone has watched a little too much Free Willy...
Best post on there:
I'm so fucking outraged right now I can't even think straight. You mean to tell me this whole time I could've had a whale slave?
Why does everybody hate PETA? They are fighting for a good cause (animal abuse) albeit in unconventional methods but shouldn't we be praising them for this?
Why does everybody hate PETA? They are fighting for a good cause (animal abuse) albeit in unconventional methods but shouldn't we be praising them for this?
Their methods aren't unconventional, they're ridiculous, dangerous and indefensible.
Their methods aren't unconventional, they're ridiculous, dangerous and indefensible.
and hypocritical.
Why does everybody hate PETA? They are fighting for a good cause (animal abuse) albeit in unconventional methods but shouldn't we be praising them for this?
One of their ideas of animal abuse is just plain old interacting with an animal. The most radical people of these groups oppose giving birth, (like Ingrid herself) Think humans have no right to exist on this planet and/or live in unison with animals. To some of them, humans should just live in a hole in the ground and the rest of the planet belong to animals and animals only. They kill more then they save. Over 90% kill rate on the animals they "save".
PETA is such a terrible organisation that it's actually conceivable that their biggest funders are the anti-animal welfare/rights lobby.
Why does everybody hate PETA? They are fighting for a good cause (animal abuse) albeit in unconventional methods but shouldn't we be praising them for this?
They're basically a green version of your conventional misguided terrorist group.
Why does everybody hate PETA? They are fighting for a good cause (animal abuse) albeit in unconventional methods but shouldn't we be praising them for this?
A lot of people who believe in animal welfare and/or rights (such as myself) do not support PETA, and for many valid reasons. Their campaigns are rife with misogyny, fat-shaming, racism, transphobia, and so on. They even wage fights with people who are animal activists for things like rescuing shelter animals (FYI, PETA takes in animals, and kills like 99.9% of them). They trivialize the cause they claim to champion, and ultimately set it back because everyone believes we're all nutjobs like they are. They are not, in any sense, doing good work.
Indeed, lets instead leave whales for whale hunters.
keeping all whales in captivity isn't the way to combat whaling. [editline]28th October 2011[/editline]
most of them are now born into captivity. they wouldnt be fit for the big open sea
well they should stop doing that. and maybe try to integrate the captive ones back into the wild
Peta is so full of bullshit I can't even believe it.
Well, we're talking about people that compared a chicken farm to the holocaust so I wouldn't expect any better.
Rodeo is cruel sue cowboys instead
most of them are now born into captivity. they wouldnt be fit for the big open sea
They used to say the same about black people! No wait. [editline]27th October 2011[/editline]
PETA's half right Breeding animals for show and keeping them in tiny enclosures should be illegal
Suddenly keeping pets is illegal.
Someone should post that huge chart with everything PETA's doing wrong. Oh it was already posted in a quote, didn't see it, sorry.
Ugh PETA is so dumb. Buncha people haters is what they are. I remember when Obama was in an interview, he went all ninja and swatted a fly. Of course PETA was all like "U MONSER, YOU KILLED A FLY JGVYFXWZRW"
Watch out SeaWorld, or PETA will throw whale blood on you!
Those whales are treated like kings compared to human slaves, I'm sure they're all well fed and happy enough to not eat any of the staff.
