Correct. It's full Windows 8.1.
Still blows my mind.
This small HDMI stick is as good as my PC was just two years ago.
What pretty amazing is the iGPU is about as good as the Sandy Bridge iGPU. It doesn't sound that impressive, until you realize that it consumes a fraction of the power and is cooled passively.
Although the CPU is still a bit weaker than the Sandy Bridge CPU which doesn't help it in CPU intensive games, its not all that shabby for a cheap, passively cooled system.

I wonder how my future router's J1900 will stack up in games.
Yeah, but that stick that's smaller than a chocolate bar is a self-contained computer as powerful as the iBook G4 released in 2005. That's a heck of a long way in a little under ten years.
If you told me in 2005 that I'd be able to get a computer smaller than my wallet that was as powerful as my laptop, I probably wouldn't have believed you.
Where us your source that it is as powerful as an iBook G4? I am sure its much more powerful.

I was just going spec-for-spec.

And damn cheap too. Tech is improving fast

Its the Bay Trail Atom is most likely much faster than the G4. Its definitely much faster than my Mac Mini G4. Although the Atom has some hardware assists like hardware accelerated video decoding which slant in its favor. :v:

Yea, to clarify, I meant the Bay Trail should be much faster than an iBook G4.

and now you know that, never compare frequencies unless they're otherwise the same component, because that's honestly kind of like trying to decipher which one is the most powerful judging by which one is the most cool looking :v:
Now to wait until someone makes a "gamer" version of this that is about $400 and is better than the consoles.
You make the comparison with the G4 but remember this is 64-bit, quad core and has a much higher performance per clock
Yep, you are literally the fourth person to say that.
darn, I remember as I kid I built my pc, I was impressed how a hard drive (that was the size of a small book) could hold 20 gigabytes
Now we have actual computers we can stick in our pockets
I wonder I could install windows 7 on this thing, would beat having to carry a laptop around for school/work

You probably could but that assumes Windows 7 drivers exist for it. Your probably stuck with 8 32 bit until 10 releases. Not that its actually an issue.
