It might have something to do with the fact that the people on the islands are British Citizens. If Argentina were to try another invasion, the British Government would have a duty to protect it's citizens.

World War 2 was the best in the "War" series, to be honest. There's so many fucking spinoff wars these days that aren't any good. The Falklands were uninhabited when they were claimed by Europeans and they've been under continuous British rule for nearly 200 years. The people on the island are British citizens, mostly of British descent and fully oppose Argentinian rule.
So why do the islands belong to Argentina?

I'm Argentinian and probably one of the few people here that think the islands really belong to the British. I hate when people think they should belong to us just because we are closer. As far as I know, and can remember, the islands were given to the British around 150-200 years ago when one of our former president signed some treaty that declared them the rightful owner of the islands, or atleast that's what our history teacher taught us 2-3 years ago back in High School.
