Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Hamilton the man who nationalized our money in the first place? He also created the first national bank of the usa. He's not the guy to take off the money.
ya but he made terrible life decisions, namely agreeing to get shot at, and really just that really really bad one also his views on the role of the federal government aren't exactly liked by the so called constitutional originalists because they oppose the idea that the federal government should be large, in contradiction with hamilton's own writings, and they by in large happen to be in the party that controls congress right now

I don't know why Jackson has the 20$, Native American treatment aside, he was against national banking, he vetoed a charter renewal for the national bank of the United States.

TBH its probably good that they're changing the 20$ bill. I didnt even remember who was on it until I read this thread.
Fuck that, put FDR on the $20 bill.
I'd prefer to see Theodore Roosevelt over FDR since the latter is on the dime. Of course, we could go old school and put both on either side of the bill like the 19th century era ones. But we won't. Actually... Fuck it. We'll put the Roosevelts on the front of the 20 put a woman on the back, and keep Hamilton on the Ten and put Eisenhower on the resurrected 500 dollar bill. Everybody wins!
I second this. Besides bottled soda without high fructose corn syrup, having a ton of coins instead of crumpled up paper ones was my favorite thing about Europe.
get a wallet
So we are getting rid of Hamilton, who created our treasury and introduced banks to America, but not Andrew Jackson who instituted the hatred of the American Indian tribes? Edit: Actually, I just realized he's still going to be on the Bill, we are just going to add a woman on the other side. At least it won't be Hilary.

Probably hurts the Andrew Jackson hates Indians narrative too when he in fact adopted two Amerindian boys as his own sons.
They're probably gonna put a woman on it. Even Ben Bernanke isn't pleased with the idea: http://money.cnn.com/2015/06/22/news/bernanke-appalled-ten-bill/
They're probably gonna put a woman on it.
Not "probably", the article says they are.
I've never had issues with cash, what's this all about? In fact, I've never ever used my debit card outside of online purchases. I carry cash everywhere and use it everywhere.
Cash is just more of a hassle. When I used it before I had a bank account, I could only bring ~$50 with me (more if I knew i needed to) and was screwed if I needed more. I have a much thinner wallet without all the cash I used to carry, no more pockets and center consoles full of change that I won't use. Gas stations are 10x easier. I always do complete fill ups. Rather than paying more than I need to, going back in for change after my fill up, etc. The card allows a quick, exact fill up. At night, many stations here are unmanned with no way to use cash. Diesel is hard to find. So cash+diesel+unmanned station= no fuel for ~20 miles.
The banks can't wait to remove Andrew Jackson from their precious money. He's a constant reminder to them that when the right guy comes along their time can be up just like that.

The ones disagreeing with him just happened to be Congress and the Supreme Court.
The banks can't wait to remove Andrew Jackson from their precious money. The only times I carry more is when I know ahead of time I'm going to purchase something expensive and carry cash accordingly. As for gas stations, I live in NJ so I have the benefit of not needing to get out of my vehicle to pay. The change comes to me :v: (I actually didn't understand what you were saying at first due to this)

In fact he was the one usually pushing for peaceful resolutions with all native parties, especially the ones which he had adopted children from. The reality was that skirmishes and wars between settlers had been pushing his hand, as it was coming to the point he was unable to realistically control the settlers from attacking native lands. His solution was to try and resolve the problem by giving the natives their own country/sanctioned territory and slowly transfer them there over a period of 10 or so years. What you then had was Martin van Buren, who was the real piss-off. He came in and where Jackson was trying to do the move with the most peaceful methods possible, Buren sent the military and basically gave the order of, "pack your shit and roll". Hell, Andrew Jackson even was critical of this IIRC. [editline]4th April 2016[/editline]
I second this. [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/fe/Sacagawea_dollar_obverse.png[/t] You can get the Sacajawea dollars, presidential dollars, landmark coins, and otherwise. They haven't taken off though thanks to the paper money lobbies. I personally think we should bring back the Susan B. Anthony dollars: [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/40/1981-S_SBA%24_Type_Two_Deep_Cameo.jpg/1920px-1981-S_SBA%24_Type_Two_Deep_Cameo.jpg[/t] Nothing says pride, like showing our great achievements.
yep FDR was literally Hitler [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ab/Ansel_Adams%2C_Baseball_game_at_Manzanar%2C_1943.jpg[/t] don't get me wrong it's a national disgrace that we interred Americans but it's nothing like the shit Jackson did
Now hold on there. The internment camps werent as bad as nazi extermination camps but they most certainly weren't good either. Forcing people to sleep in horse stables before herding them onto trains and dumping them into the middle of the desert without access to medical supplies is incredibly shitty. Shitty enough that people died from it (including people who would have been my relatives). Not to mention the literal millions of dollars that were in essense stolen by the government in the form of properties and belongings.
