I am pretty excitied for this since source 2 will possibly bring more to the table. Also half life 3 and left 4 dead 3 what a surprise it seems my imagination has come true. Also thugs 4 life guess that means we stealing drugs or something.

maybe they'll start working on hl3 as soon as they finish source 2

actually disappointed that there isn't a Fart Cops group in there.

it's like a friggin rollercoaster of expectations

I imagine it would be concurrent production; HL3 feels like it'd be the game to usher in Source 2 and vice versa

The graphical bug was that there are no graphics
thugs 4 life

fuck i'd play it
hey I use jira at work, it's a good bugtracker
That list seems to be legit (and as if it didn't seen real enough yet, I even found the brazilian service responsible for Brazilian payment methods on Steam).
Damn, I'm more interested what they cooked up to WARRANT a L4D3.

:v:
I'd imagine we'll be seeing Source 2 or even L4D3 at Pax (Aug 30-Sep 2nd), considering how Valve pushed the International 3 to a month earlier for an unknown reason.
There's an Episode 3 one too

I know I'm gonna come off as the pessimist doomed to ruin everybody's time, but I can't help but feel... nothing, about this.
Mainly because I realized; Of course there's a HL3 mailing list, that doesn't mean anything. We have no idea if there hasn't been any updates to it in months or possibly years - just because it has 42 subscribed doesn't mean there's 42 people actively working on it. Maybe they worked on it at one point and didn't want to unsubscribe when they worked on something else.
L4D3 and The Grange/Thugz4Lyfe caught my interest, though. This actually confirms those exist.
[editline]al[/editline]
There's also the possibility that Valve employees have the permission to make their own mailing lists without consulting everybody else, since they have free reign over almost everything. They have the ability to make projects no matter how unrealistic they seem or nobody wants to work on it; hence stuff like the Episode 3 Movie.
All I'm trying to say is; This mailing list doesn't prove anything except that these projects existed at one point in time. That's all. I'm sorry for being such a jackass about this, but it's the truth.

gab pls
let us mak hl3

I hope Source 2 has map streaming and L4D3 is on S2 and with that it has a Hardcore mode which is just the entire campaign with no Saferooms.
Something makes me wonder, would it even have been possible to wget everything/save some other way without Valve even noticing?
Hrm glad.OS?

Main group/subgrouping so it doesn't seem like a joke one-off like some of the others
Also a group for "HL Short"

Short could be anything from short movie to short film to... short game? I don't fucking know
Entries for "Microbe Wars" which I have never heard of, is not a published title on steam, and doesn't appear to bring up any relevant google results

Bunch of stuff for the PS3

anything about any issues/bugs reported to JIRA should be considrered false. When it was open, anyone could submit shit to it. After /v/ and reddit found out, it was a lot of furry porn and "I can't let you do that, Dave." However, the groups are legit.

It was filed against the Steambox, which was public.

I'm wondering why Source 2 needs "characters" and "entities", aren't those typically game things? Maybe Source 2 is Half Life 3...
[editline]18th June 2013[/editline]
I mean for a mailing list they can make it anything, the people working on it knows what they are, so they don't need to be very literal with the titles of the lists.
That's literally almost every zombie movie/video ever made, how about we go into the central US, ya know The Great Plains and shit.
How about we go outside the US.
Anyway, at this point I'd rather have Thugz4Life than L4D3 :v:
I'm thinking the only reason HL3 is so low in development/hasn't started yet is the wait for a functioning, developer-friendly Source 2, which is probably just working its way into adolescence.

Wasn't that used during the Potato ARG?
They're probably going to introduce Source 2 the same way they introduced Source, with the release of a new Half-Life game.
Well then obviously Source 2 would equal a game one way or the other, and logically it would be HL3, so...Source 2 = HL3
They are probably developing a game with Source 2. Makes sure that the engine is developer friendly.

Damn it all. This is good news, but I'd hoped for something more.
