Its a big step in the right direction, but dominate is a strong word and they've only been released. They have a lot of catching up to do with how well the iPad and now iPad 2 is selling.

I really don't see how Apple thought this would be a good idea in the first place, considering that Samsung manufacturers their memory chips as well as the processors for the iPhone. I think Apple is just doing this because they don't want want any competition and Samsung is one of the biggest for smartphones.
