Wasn't the 80's the years with all the wild hippie orgies?
hahaha holy shit you are 20 years off how do you even mistake the 80s for 1968's 'summer of love'? There weren't 'wild hippy orgies' by the way it was just a bunch of hippies pissing off their parents by protesting instead of being productive.
Why would you hide your children from technology? You could take your children outside, and use social media to find the best place to go fishing, use the weather channel apps on the go, to find a good place to fly kites, and use yellow pages apps to find the nearest ice cream parlor. I don't get people and this backwards ideals of "teaching dem children good"
Kids are gonna use computers at school's or friends' homes, watch.
The kids are 5 and 2. I highly doubt that. And it's only for a year to boot.
OH MY GOD THIS IS TOO CLOSE TO HOME. Really, I grew up in Guelph until I was 10. My parents worked to make ends meet so we were a decade behind. I'm looking at furnishings and a house that I FUCKING KNOW. That's my neighborhood!
What else would they do to make ends meet???
Not a bad idea, the 80s had pretty good music.
if you like awful love songs and synthesizers that literally sound like someone trying to open a can of screaming hawks with a pair of sharpened bagpipes, step on down to 1986
if you like awful love songs and synthesizers that literally sound like someone trying to open a can of screaming hawks with a pair of sharpened bagpipes, step on down to 1986
Seems better than Skrillex.
if you like awful love songs and synthesizers that literally sound like someone trying to open a can of screaming hawks with a pair of sharpened bagpipes, step on down to 1986
That's '80s pop music, aka one genre
Yeah, exactly how many of us had computers in our households when we were 5 or 2?
I had a PC when I was 4 or 5, and I was a :yarr: (I didn't know it was wrong) burning CDs with a friend.
if you like awful love songs and synthesizers that literally sound like someone trying to open a can of screaming hawks with a pair of sharpened bagpipes, step on down to 1986
I didn't know screaming hawks came in cans now.
Not a bad idea, the 80s had pretty good music.
"pretty good" = understatement :v:
The 80's were a dark and scary time
if you like awful love songs and synthesizers that literally sound like someone trying to open a can of screaming hawks with a pair of sharpened bagpipes, step on down to 1986
Your a horrible person.
Sometimes I contemplate doing like that, but even further in. Just moving to mountains to herd sheep and live in a wooden shed with no running water or electricity. I am not saying I gonna do it, somedays I just wish I would.
The dude was born in 86? I doubt he remembers much of the 80s since he was still wearing diapers and drinking milk from a bottle.
And then his children buys a Commodore 64. "ITS THE EIGHTIES OK"
At age 5 I was already on my third computer. If I recall it was the Macintosh Plus.
Meh, title got me worried but since the kids are only 5 and 2, and it's only for a year, I see no big deal
I didn't know screaming hawks came in cans now.
have a screaming tin can hawk straight out of the 80's
Australian families have tried this before, with teenagers and it was for acurrent affair shows labelled as experimental Basically for one month a family would practically ditch all sorts of technology and do things that didn't involve computers, of course when it came to school work it made it harder, everyone got bored frequently but they had a pleasent time just wandering around without needing to have their face planted into a device. It was really for how far we've come and how much technology has made an impact in our lives, sure we can revisit the "good ol' days" but eventually you'll be sick of it and want to go back to what we live with right now
if you like awful love songs and synthesizers that literally sound like someone trying to open a can of screaming hawks with a pair of sharpened bagpipes, step on down to 1986
What? 80's music is fantastic, I may be born in '95 but fuck I wish I grew up in the 80's with its classic music. 80's gave birth to many music genres and electronica music was heavily influenced by the 80s for example.
At the age of 5 I was developing calculators. Parents, why do they never understand?
the mullets aren't such a big deal, hockey boys in canada all rocked them with their backwards snapbacks fuck i hated hockey players in highschool and their fucking mullets
And the 80's had awesome music. Especially loadsamoney. [editline]sad[/editline] fuck, you ruined my automerge.
nobody remembers the bad music from the 80's do they i'm sure there was just as much pop shit that people complained about and said "good music is over why isnt everything as good as the 70's!!!"
They better have a Nintendo and Sega Genesis and have a console war otherwise it's not the 80s
They better have a Nintendo and Sega Genesis and have a console war otherwise it's not the 80s
Blast processing, bitch!
Not a bad idea, the 80s had pretty good music.
80s music was the best i agree: [editline]6th September 2013[/editline]
if you like awful love songs and synthesizers that literally sound like someone trying to open a can of screaming hawks with a pair of sharpened bagpipes, step on down to 1986
woah do you have any idea how many awesome records came out that year that didnt even have synths take it back you mong
Seems better than Skrillex.
What you guys don't get is nearly every decade has many amazing albums and shitty pop songs. Saying any decade is objectively better than the other in music is just untrue.
