how does this console keep getting worse? seriously
Asian Countries not even on the list
Russia is not in asia? A big part of it is in asia.
but yeah no japan
Bandwidth in Asia costs a fortune. The $50/year subscription of xbl would pay for around 2mbps in a single month - even at the commit levels microsoft would have
It is almost like they want their console to bomb harder than the Philips Cd-i.
No Xbox Live = No activation = Can't play Xbox One in those countries? Or am I wrong?
If so there's no reason to sell it in any country not included in the list; it'll be a 500 euro brick.
edit:
Requires broadband internet (ISP fees apply), a Microsoft account and an account on Xbox Live in an Xbox One-supported Xbox Live country/region
Yup.
Haha, People are going to be mad around here.
Or wait, no, they won't. It's the Xbone.
Its like Microsoft just wants to fuck them self up.
I was almost afraid they will try to shaft us Czechs with the bullshit euro = dollar bullshit but we are safe from this, thanks heavens.
Thank you a lot Microsoft I was afraid some of my friends might fall for this, it's nice of you that you protect them.
Its a good thing I have no intention of getting an Xbone anymore because I have about two to three feet of space at best because I live in a tiny area. I'd be dancing around like a retard on my fucking bed trying not to get annihilated by my ceiling fan.
What the fuck? Not even Portugal?
lmfao
you actually have to comply with their demands of how far you can be from the console in order to play games
jesus i hope games don't actually enforce this
It's rare to see a train wreck before it even leaves the station.
I'm going to college in Hong Kong next year. What the fuck? Fuck you Microsoft.
Does this literally mean that people outside of those countries won't even be able to play online at all?
Hideo Kojima is producing a game on a platform that he won't even be able to buy and use himself.
Haha, People are going to be mad around here.

I think I know one person back home who isn't a PC gamer.
Does this literally mean that people outside of those countries won't even be able to play online at all?
It seems to mean they would have no point in buying an Xbone instead of a PS4.
Wait, isn't the recommended distance to be sitting in front of a TV a minimum of 6 feet?
Hideo Kojima is producing a game on a platform that he won't even be able to buy and use himself.
Why do you think it's coming to PS4 and PC?
All the Koreans I know are too busy playing starcraft and maplestory anyways. :v: or studying
I have to wonder what seriously makes Microsoft think this is a good idea.
The Xbone has been in a PR trainwreck almost since the moment it was announced.
Does this literally mean that people outside of those countries won't even be able to play online at all?
No it means they won't be able to play anything because as far as I understand it you need a microsoft account to use the device.
Whoever thought any of this was okay, they really should get shit-canned right now.
All the Koreans I know are too busy playing starcraft and maplestory anyways. :v: or studying
And using this app called Rando.
[SUP][SUP]Once I got a picture of a Korean door sign, but the sender didn't allow location access.[/SUP][/SUP]
Wait, isn't the recommended distance to be sitting in front of a TV a minimum of 6 feet?
That depends on the TV
if your TV is a tiny little thing you're not gonna sit where you can't actually read everything and see everything in detail
I don't understand how Microsoft can show this much contempt for its market. It's like they don't even care.
The PS4 is going to slaughter the Xbox when it comes to sales. I was worried the xbox would win simply because of its name at first, but there is just no way now.
i thought the kinect was going to be used to determine the number of people in the room playing the game, or was that just a rumor?
They applied for such a patent back in November or something, but yeah, it's just a rumour.
[editline]12th June 2013[/editline]
Given that you need the kinect just to turn the sodding thing on I wouldn't be surprised if very few games work properly if you don't have the recommended space AND sit in the recommended spot.
Which is fucking stupid.
[editline]12th June 2013[/editline]
Last I heard that was to be used to bump your netflix rental costs up sevenfold. Rather than just renting for you, it would use the kinect to count everyone watching and charge once for each person on the couch.
Which is also fuckin' stupid.
No, neither of these things will happen.

Microsoft won't sell it in areas where you can't use it. They would get nothing but complaints, and they would have to use resources on refunds and whatnot. It won't happen.

Some of these things apply to PS4 aswell, tbh I don't think that is a very good list..

This is literally the vaguest shit ever. And who the fuck would ever buy a $500 console for a TV that can't do 720p? You always have to agree to terms of use to use something. It's right there in the wording.
And how much storage does the OS actually require? I've seen no sources on that one. At all. And even if we say it has the same foot-print of full-blown Windows 8 (which it won't have), you're looking at 30GB at the most.
