This is literally the vaguest shit ever. And who the fuck would ever buy a $500 console for a TV that can't do 720p? You always have to agree to terms of use to use something. It's right there in the wording. And how much storage does the OS actually require? I've seen no sources on that one. At all. And even if we say it has the same foot-print of full-blown Windows 8 (which it won't have), you're looking at 30GB at the most.
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/pre-order-xbox-one/disclaimer psst, I only changed one thing.
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/pre-order-xbox-one/disclaimer psst, I only changed one thing.
Got me there on the storage thing. Other than that, my post still applies. Those are not reasons to not get an Xbox One.
It honestly makes a lot of sense to ignore east asian regions for microsoft, because unlike in the US, the 360 did absolutely awful in Japan and in most of east asia.
So people outside of these countries won't be able to play at all, as they won't be able to login to LIVE once every 24hs, right? Christ.
So people outside of these countries won't be able to play at all, as they won't be able to login to LIVE once every 24hs, right? Christ.
You could technically make an account and set the US as your country, but then all you get is the bare minimum, being able to play games. Forget about Live Gold or anything else that costs money because your credit card won't work since the countries won't match :v:
can't believe I was so crazy about the 360 way back when. gg microsoft.
Gee, so according to their recommended space I couldn't even use this useless piece of crap in my room
I thought internet was a worldwide thing, why couldn't someone in say japan connect to a server in another country? :v
Just another reason for me to get a PS4. :v:
I thought internet was a worldwide thing, why couldn't someone in say japan connect to a server in another country? :v
So they can release it in Japan later with a higher price.
Why would a company ever do this? You're just giving those markets to your competition.
Microsoft is shaping this up to be an enormous disaster for their sales. Either they're way overconfident, or they have something they're keeping from us until the last second to turn things in their favor. Otherwise, it honestly looks like the only thing they're paying attention to is the cash they think they're going to rake in. In some cases, they actually will, because there are some Xbox players who just don't know what they're buying and mindlessly buy the device every year because "IT'S XBOX AND IT'S COOL". I'm not gonna lie, I bought an Xbox 360 for two reasons. I bought it for Halo (since they're all exclusives) and because the majority of my friends and family had one and suggested I get one. The $300 price tag as compared to the $600 PS3 (at the time, anyway) just seemed like a better option but in the long run I entirely regret it because my PS3 has turned out to be much more replayable than the Xbox ever was. Paying for the online service was so deterrent because of the fact that I couldn't use my own peripherals on the Xbox (Like the keyboard and mouse I have) which I could do on the PS3. All in all, Microsoft is really pushing it because the original Xbox was never all that great and was pretty much a blow-out console aside from it's almighty savior Halo. Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 MADE the Xbox 360 a legend, and those games are long gone. Destiny is PS/Sony exclusive and no one seems to care about Call of Duty anymore so it seems to me that Microsoft is being arrogant in thinking they have the advantage. But then again, there are "hardcore" Xbox fans who probably won't change their mind on which console to get, but the kind of people I'm talking about don't know what DRM means and probably still don't understand what the word "bug" means in the context of computer technology.
I feel jealous of the countries not on the list. I'm stuck in Denmark, so people are actually gonna buy the xbone around here.
Wow, that list of countries is fucking pathetic for something like this.
Hideo Kojima is producing a game on a platform that he won't even be able to buy and use himself.
Good question... What the hell? Maybe they mean we wont have full live support or something? Since someone here (sorry forgot your name and cant look in here) found that there supposedly already is support in some of the unspecified countries...
Xbox 360 was so ridiculously undersold and underused in Japan that I don't even think they'll bother with the Xbone.
I know somebody who went to Japan and 360 games were being sold in a bin labeled western dog shit :v:
What are Microsoft even gaining from this?
This is most likely the list of countries that will benefit from all Xbox Live has to offer. This probably has something to do with licensing.
I heard that part of the reason going into the 24 hour check in was because microsoft is trying to make deals with tv companies on using their console as the television box or at least making some kind of deal where if you buy television from this company they will give you an xbox one with it. The television companies wouldn't sign up if they knew it wasn't always connected to the internet. If that is the case I can kind of see where they are going with it.
Made from the list in the OP for your convenience: Lookit all that red.
well I'm buying a ps4
Sony go for the kill.
Sony go for the kill.
When "you can buy it in your country" becomes a selling point
When "you can buy it in your country" becomes a selling point
"You can buy used games" is already a selling point.
"You can buy used games" is already a selling point.
ps4 and all games will work on any planet in the galaxy, thanks for coming out to e3
Asian Countries not even on the list.
Of course not. We've always been at war with eastasia.
Like more than half of Europe isn't on the list. What the fuck are they even thinking?

And if the reasons why people don't want to get the PS one get around more, not even soccer moms will buy it for their kids. If someone put up a well made rumor that would catch the medias attention, for example.
can't believe I was so crazy about the 360 way back when. gg microsoft.
Well thats because back then the 360 actually was a fucking awesome console. I started to paddle back once NXE came... (Next Xbox Experience)
Shame I still have to give Microsoft my money to play Dark Souls 2 or GTA V online, either that or buy a PS3 or build a brand new PC
