Any pictures of the back of the unit Sony has released only show HDMI and Optical audio. Wikipedia doesn't have any mention of other video outputs either.
man i have been on XBL since the 360 came out, went through RROD like 3 times and still defend xbox. Now I am getting an PS4 just for the sure reason of microsoft being a bunch of cheeky cunts
How can this be such a disaster? I mean, this company has so much history and has had two console generations worth of feedback. How can anyone lack this much forward thinking or basic common sense?
There's a ton of rumors surrounding the xbone's hardware and OS (the former being problematic and the latter being practically a lie) then there's all this kinect crap, the online restrictions, the bizzare games line up, regional locking and now even this. You would have to try really hard to fuck something up this badly.
I don't think it'll be a complete crash and burn, it's the XBAWX after all, but all of this will probably have a large impact on its success
the term 'HDTV' isn't applicable anymore considering most TV's produced qualify as being one. This isn't 2007 anymore
all of AFRICA
is not supported.
Harsh shit
So my country gets the respect of not being infested with xbone?
Wow. This is great news!
so will they only sell Xbones in the Green Zones beacsuse if they sell them in Red Zones that would be a scam right by law in the No Xlive zone
That 1 bilion units statement got me thinking, is it actually possible to sell that much with only those 21 countries?
Oh wow, even Western European countries are off the list, mine included.
What the fuck MS? Did ours and Greece's shitty economy scare you off? Spain didn't.
Oh my god, just... look at Portugal, it's just sad.
I don't know why they kept our country out of it. I mean sure, we could even be insignificant, but ffs MS, that's just wrong.
is this a joke or something
please tell me you are not so fucking spoiled that you truly believe anyone who can afford a games console can afford an HDTV
Yep, I actually do believe most people that can afford a $500 gaming console (plus games for $60 each, plus Xbox Live subscription) already have, or at least are able to acquire a TV with such a resolution. In my opinion, it's totally reasonable to list 720p as requirement in 2013. And while "get the 360 (or the PS4)" isn't really great marketing for Microsoft, Microsoft simply chose to not cater to people with low-resolution TVs. There's really not more to it; it's a reasonable requirement, and if you can't make it, get the PS4 (which overall seems to be the better platform right now) or one of the older consoles.
And that doesn't make me "fucking spoiled" - I have work myself and I pay for my own stuff with my own money. That makes me privileged, sure, but hardly spoiled. For the record, I don't personally own any console.
As I type right now I have my 360, PS3, and Wii hooked up for my cathode ray tube television from 18+ years ago.
It's kind of annoying that some companies like, say, Capcom seem to think that HD = microscopic text, but besides that ol' Electronic Methuselah is still holding up just fine.
Personally I might've sacrificed one of the consoles for a better TV, but you chose differently I guess?
In a perfect world:
Microsoft: "Haha pranked you, we're really going to scrap the xbox one and give all our money to Gabe Newel and in return he will fulfill everybody's secret wish of partnering with Nintendo and making 'Super Smash Life Fortress World 1 and 2 but not 3' for the 'Gabecube' which will have no DRM of any sort "
In this world:
Micro$oft: "GIVE US YOUR MONEY OR WE WILL TAKE IT!!!"
I'm in a random mood today!
This all seems so odd. Judging by Microsoft's size, they are sure to have a massive team who did tons of market research... How can these people make such massive blunders? There has to be more to this... or at least I am hoping there is.
Hey Microsoft, sure ive bought your products as they've been decent in the past but now you're taking the giraffe, go suck a pickled dick. You ain't getting my money!
