You obviously don't get the problem. There are rules and laws instated for a reason.

hurp durp, he worked in the military - an organised branch of the government

How are you comparing something that happened 60 years ago to a modern day massacre?

lol
they shot civilians who clearly didn't have any weapons and were just trying to help the wounded
and what does the holocaust have to do with this? when did someone claim it was worse than the holocaust?

It was sarcasm about how he's treating it like the worst thing ever, and they looked like they had weapons, watch the video, read the 2 threads with 50 pages on it, conclusion: looked like they had weapons.

I really don't want to start a whole nother thing here, but even the Wikileaks editors confirmed AK-47's and said RPG's were 'probable, not definite." or something along those lines.
He should not be releasing video's of the governments crimes, the people should have a right not to know.
The people aren't forced to watch it.
This dude needs some self-restraint.
You can argue that they "obviously don't have weapons", but that's not what a stressed out helicopter shooter would have the time to think about. Also consider that there was an attack near that area earlier.

uh, I have. did you see the part where the van pulled up and UNARMED civilians tried to help the wounded people, and then the apache crew shot all of them too?
I've read all 70+ pages on FP, watched the videos, read the military report, and read the transcripts.

I think it was pretty fucking obvious I was being sarcastic, you're dumb.

There's something about helping insurgents (that's what they were considered at the time) that sounds hostile to me
There's something about helping insurgents (that's what they were considered at the time) that sounds hostile to me
doesn't matter
you're not allowed to shoot unarmed people who are just trying to help the wounded

Correction; There was a battle going on about a mile down the road when the helicopter opened fire. The photographers were going to the rear of the U.S. soldiers and the helicopter pilot thought they were trying to flank them.
Edit: However, shooting the van was incredibly stupid of the pilot. There was no reason to shoot it.

Helping a wounded insurgent might resurrect him instantly and endanger our soldiers.
Helping a wounded insurgent might resurrect him instantly and endanger our soldiers.
Lol, because giving an insurgent a 'reason' to suicide bomb, and murder more humans is okay.

That's why we should keep it classified, the humanitarian crimes of any branch of our government might enrage our enemies and cause them to attack us more!

Let JDK argue for you, okay?
Too bad they weren't insurgents and they wasted a bunch of civilians... and then the civilians who came to help them... and then the civilians who fled the scene.

The fact of the matter is irrelevant

What is there to argue about? I'm agreeing with you.
Clearly sarcasm over text transfers so well!

You're making your side look like a bunch of 13 year old's who throws fits when they can't think of a good argument.
The fact of the matter is irrelevant
what
You're making your side look like a bunch of 13 year old's who throws fits when they can't think of a good argument.
I disagree with your opinion.
You're making your side look like a bunch of 13 year old's who throws fits when they can't think of a good argument.
you haven't thought of a decent argument yet
what
In this case, we're arguing whether what they did was logical, not whether they should be punished or anything.
The fact of the matter is irrelevant
Wow, just, wow. Please never attain a position of any significance in life and keep to your insane self.

Lol, oh my god you're such a loser. How does the fact matter when we're arguing about whether what they did was right or not? At the time it was pretty fair to assume they were insurgents.
You're an idiot if you are sitting there saying that "THEy OBVIOUSLY DIDNT HAVE WEAPONS". You know that now, yes, but if you were that chopper gunner and you thought you only had a few seconds before those guys on the ground shoot a missile at you, you weren't going to take any chances.
Those reporters knew what they were getting into. War is war, and you have an extremely high chance of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. War reporters get killed all the time, and friendly fire is the biggest cause of deaths for our soldiers. It's no surprise it happened.
Those soldiers are not crazy lunatics, I imagine they feel shitty for what they did. They were just doing their job and following orders to protect their comrades on the ground and in the air.
As for the guy who leaked this video, it is no surprise he is in a shit load of trouble for releasing classified information.
I know you guys want the world to be a peaceful love planet where everyone holds hands and gives eachother a blowjob instead of war but it will never be like that. Shit happens and you looking for every little problem in something isn't going to change that.
Then I guess your definition of good is something that agrees with you
not really
stop making baseless claims
are you saying they were justified in shooting the people in the van?

yeah, shooting unarmed people who were trying to evacuate the wounded. they really were a threat.
