At which point do the police lay down their arms or join the protesters? And what happens after the coup, if there is one? Surely the police who killed protesters would be at risk or being hunted?

There will be an election before the end of 2014.
In the other thread there were some rather interesting images and exerts from your statemen's manifesto. Some stuff about jewish cabals being brought to justice and people being imprisoned for "unpatriotic" behavior.
You do realise Ukrainophobia and patriotism are two different things right?
making being 'unpatriotic' a crime is a fucking disgusting I would chose the current government a hundred times over Svoboda
making being 'unpatriotic' a crime is a fucking disgusting I would chose the current government a hundred times over Svoboda
What the hell are you talking about? The party said that expressing hatred towards Ukrainian people in public can get you punished. Seriously lmao where are your sources?
You do realise Ukrainophobia and patriotism are two different things right?
Yeah but I said "unpatriotic" not "patriotic". It makes a pretty big difference. Anyway, the moderate opposition has talked with the gov and they have come to an agreement. Your party can scurry back to their holes and enjoy not getting power.
Yeah but I said "unpatriotic" not "patriotic". It makes a pretty big difference.
lol no it doesn't. Making the country's people look bad and not supporting the country in general are two different things. I'm pretty sure I'd get in trouble too if I'd call everyone in my country scumbags. Besides, I'm not for one single party. Don't you have like other things to do than thread shitting every page?
What the hell are you talking about? The party said that expressing hatred towards Ukrainian people in public can get you punished. Seriously lmao where are your sources?
Don't tell me please that you don't see how "expressing hatred towards Ukrainian people in public" can be skewed to become "expressing distrust towards legitimate government elected by Ukrainian people". Anyone who talks about political "-phobias" like this means exactly this.
I haven't had any time at all to follow this. Can someone explain to me how seemingly all the protestors have some form of body armor and riot shield
I haven't had any time at all to follow this. Other things are makeshift, like wooden shields.

No matter what's done is done hopefully it's being solved diplomatically now.
I'm talking about the pictures of like 30 to 40 people wearing green helmets and flak vests which are clearly not police. Judy looks bizarre for a protest

seems everyone calmed down in Euromaidan
making being 'unpatriotic' a crime is a fucking disgusting I would chose the current government a hundred times over Svoboda
also they want to be allowed to to preemptively nuke other countries without declaring war. so all in all we've got some uber-patriotic nationalist dudes who want to increase military funding and salaries, establish a strong military-industrial complex by facilitating a very large presence in the international arms market (and refusing to allow "the practice of mindless destruction of modern effective samples of armament at the request of other countries"), and want to nuke other countries with no warning or permission from anyone. and that's just their military - their social plan is pretty messed up too. one must be Ukrainian or "ethnically Ukrainian" to be born with citizenship; one cannot acquire it until maturity if born to a foreigner or stateless person, and foreigners can only acquire it through swearing off all other nationalities. "sexual perversions" will be criminalized, as will promoting soft drug use. abortion will be on the same level as attempted murder unless it's done for medical reasons or due to rape. all of this is in the program they have on their site, and that's just their general plan - i know that they've got some real nazi shit going on in the background, with various head figures declaring stuff about Muscovite-Jewish mafias and forming political centers based around Joseph Goebbels and the Holocaust being a period of light in dark times and all that nonsense. these guys are totally some fuckin messed up nationalist dirtbags.

Don't worry guys they're protesting for humans rights. [editline]21st February 2014[/editline] Just so everyone Is clear we know not all the protesters are associated with the group above. There are moderates who are protesting their rights. In addition to the far right groups and moderates I believe there are ggroups using it as an opportunity to gain power they couldn't gain otherwise. Calling for a government to stand down without calling foran election is fishy as hell.
