well at least in 3 years i will not care anymore about pixar movies still bummed out to see this franchise going down the same way of shrek and madagascar.
Should have just made Cars Vs Planes
Why do you insist on milking it, let it die already! Like the above post said, toy story 3 had a good ending.
It's hardly "milking" if they release the movies at this rate.
Didn't Pixar used to be... like, original and stuff?
People are overreacting. I think comparing Toy Story to Cars, let alone Planes is ludicrous. They're not even close. muh automerge
Opinion reserved until first trailer is shown.
They are making The Incredibles 2. http://variety.com/2014/film/news/disney-plans-third-cars-the-incredibles-2-movies-1201137824/
i thought its been stuck in development hell
Toy Story 4: Electric Boogaloo [sp] It'll probably be a good movie knowing Pixar but still, I think Toy Story should have ended at 3 since the ending to 3 was literally the most perfect ending to the series possible[/sp]
I mean, I'm sure it'll be a fantastic movie, but how long can you keep going back to the same well?
Awww, do we have to? Toy Story 3 wrapped everything up so nicely.
Toy story 3 was ending the Andy Story while leaving room for more adventures with the next kid, which is why the ABC Toy story movies exist.
Awww, do we have to? Toy Story 3 wrapped everything up so nicely.
If Cars 2 and Pirates 4 is anything to go on, Disney leans heavily on merchandise money machines, as well as being mostly creatively bankrupt. I saw mostly because Big Hero 6 looks good, but just like Wreck it Ralph it won't get much love because Disney only cares about Franchises that make loadse money.
Woody, Buzz and company find out they're replaced by anime figures and MLP plushes with strange smelling stains on them
Andy! What are you doing to Bullseye?!
toy story 4: attack of the anime
I saw mostly because Big Hero 6 looks good, but just like Wreck it Ralph it won't get much love because Disney only cares about Franchises that make loadse money.
From what I heard last, they were making a sequel to that.

There were a lot of new toys introduced, much like in the last one, but this time none of them were really related to existing characters. That's alright, I suppose, but it seemed more like they were looking for things to make merchandise out of.
toy story 3 was perfect, etc. why and who i could only imagine that a story that was literally fucking PERFECT was pitched to them, so much so that they had no choice but to make such a masterpiece of writing please let that be it
I want an incredibles 2, damnit. Or a wall-e 2. Or a wreck it ralph sequel. Sadly we're probably gonna get a cars 3 and a planes 2.
I don't know why everyone's so upset about this. Yes, TS3 ended on a spectacular note, but that doesn't NECESSARILY mean that TS4 will be terrible. It'll be difficult to make it as good as TS3 (and we'll all hate it because we like ts3 so much) but that doesn't mean it'll be a bad movie. i have complete faith in them. besides with tom hanks and tim allen what could go wrong, they make everything good
I have a feeling that Marvel and Star Wars toys are going to figure heavily into this. As dated as it would be, WHY do I have a feeling its going to be some kind of thing where for most of the movie the toys are competing with video games for attention?

if they make incredibles 2 and everyone is an adult (read:violet) there's going to be a lot of bad things happening on the internet i mean that already does happen but her being 18 would make it oh so much worse
Alright. Alright, alright. IF they make this like, about a completely different set of toys with an original story and some sort of small cameo or mention of the old toys or Andy, it could be good. Pretty saddened that they are doing this at all, though. TS3 really did end perfectly.
I want an incredibles 2, damnit. Or a wall-e 2. Or a wreck it ralph sequel. Sadly we're probably gonna get a cars 3 and a planes 2.
Along with the above, Planes is also not part of Pixar. Their name doesn't show up anywhere on ads or anything. I think they refuse to have their rep tarnished any further by the "vehicle" series. Also... Planes 2 was released this year. Probably is shit, but the kids buy the toys so who gives a fuck.
Toy Story 3 was one of the only movie that I ended up bursting into tears watching while in the theater, it ended so perfectly that it felt like that's where the entire franchise should have ended and I really expected Pixar to acknowledge that. While I don't doubt Pixar's ability to make a good new entry to Toy Story it will never beat 3's finalization of the series which automatically brings Toy Story 4 down. I don't even know what they have to do to even come near TS 3 let alone beat it.
Wall-E was one of my favorite original ideas from Pixar, they should be doing more shit like that I mean I definitely didn't almost cry like a manchild at the end of TS3 and Wall-E no siree
Their credibility for good ideas will officially end when they release Up 2. Up is IMO the best Pixar film, and one of the best films ever. The movie was so good it told a beautiful life story WITHOUT DIALOGUE IN 3 MINUTES. I doubt that'll ever be a thing though since it ended so nicely and had nearly nonexistent merch to profit off of. That and it has the hands-down best score of any movie ever.
ts3 ended everything though what else needs to be done? Does andy get involved in a fucking car crash or something
It's probably going to be like Home Alone 4 where it's about completely different toys and also it's terrible.
I think a lot of this "pixar are going downhill" stuff is just people not paying attention combined with longing for the good old days. Pixar made Cars when they were in their absolute prime. That was after The Incredibles and before Ratatouille, Up, and Wall-E. That movie is incredibly average. The whole Cars franchise is average to terrible. Brave was pretty average, but Toy Story 3 was fucking fantastic and that wasn't even very long ago. Monsters University was written off before anyone had even seen it, which is unfortunate because I thought it was really good. It was obviously never going to reach the heights they have before, because it's not that kind of movie, but even their average movies are very good. It's never going to be like Madagascar or Shrek, to suggest that would be ridiculous. They're always going to put a shitload of heart into the production of their films. What's wrong with making sequels? Everyone wants an Incredibles sequel, are you going to start saying the same shit about relying on old flames if that comes out and it's not as good as everyone hoped? If movies are good, they're good. It really doesn't matter what came before. People are forgetting who it is, they're not going to suddenly turn into Dreamworks because they're making a few sequels. Personally my favourite Pixar film is A Bug's Life and for some reason that seems to be a really uncommonly shared view. Ratatouille is similarly underrated.
