I honestly don't see the issue in flipping it just to try something new, the only thing I find odd is the [i]"avoiding gender stereotypes"[/i], since I know the whole "Male character just opposite sex" sometimes gets flack from certain groups. Though at the same time I don't really think it's that big a deal, the article says it's to avoid portraying gender roles to children, I doubt children need extremely in depth character writing.
