My grandfather survived with ruptured gall-bladder (a condition which is usually kills you in after few hours) only with meditation. He felt a really strong pain in belly, but couldn't go to doctor. He just meditated. After three days, he finally went to doctor to check him. The doctor opened him up and found out that he still had some bile still left, spilled in his abdomen, however already mostly absorbed. There was also a visible scar on the bladder, already mostly healed up. The doctor himself said that he has completely no medical explanation about how he survived it. Because it was in at the time of practically totalitarian Czechoslovakia where anything supernatural was totally unacceptable, it hasn't ever reached media. I think that people are capable of things that aren't explainable using today scientific views.
You guys instantly disclaiming this because it doesn't follow the 'rules' of science (of which many have exceptions or loopholes, for example effectively being able to travel faster than light by bending space), are just like the people who instantly said Darwin was wrong for believing in evolution. Lots of you are the same people who bash religion for not being as open minded as followers of the 'science' religion, but many of you are no more open minded than religious followers you claim are 100% wrong. Now personally, I don't think this is true, but it'd be cool if further experiments were done. If this actually works it'd open up a lot of possibilities.
That's travelling at sub light speeds for the individual travelling, it only looks like they are moving faster with an outside perspective. TL;DR no rules broken just tricking the universe.
Evolution was an alien and blasphemous concept at the time of its conception, no-one had seen it happen and everyone dismissed it. I'm not saying this is true, but to throw the idea away so quickly with no further tests is dumb, even if I don't think it's true and happened I'm not completely rejecting the idea.
Uh, no it wasn't. Evolution ideas were around far longer than Darwin's natural selection. It wasn't challenged as much as you'd like to think, at least in scientific circles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_evolutionary_thought Read up on something before using it as a parable.

Not at the time of Darwin's perception of it. Christianity, in the given time period, was the main belief. Who's goal was to crush evolutionary chokepoints. It could have been concieved during the cavemen days and no one would know jack shit.

It was seen as a natural progression of things. It wasn't until later that people came up with essentialism.
Except he would be breaking the law of conservation of energy, as the only thing in the universe.
Except it doesnt break the law at all.
Except it doesnt break the law at all.
Yes it does. To say he can survive without food or water is to say he has an infinite energy source inside of him. And as for that uncle story, unsourced and unchecked anecdotes =/= any sort of thing approaching proof.
Yes it does. To say he can survive without food or water is to say he has an infinite energy source inside of him. He only takes energy from somewhere else.
He doesnt have any infinite power source inside him. He only takes energy from somewhere else.
Oh really. Care to explain? Perhaps he gets power from the fucking dinosaurs like a power ranger. Maybe he just plugs an extension cord into his ass.
Oh really. Care to explain? Perhaps he gets power from the fucking dinosaurs like a power ranger. Maybe he just plugs an extension cord into his ass.
Assuming that the only explanation is the explanation that breaks laws of physics is just dumb.
Assuming that the only explanation is the explanation that breaks laws of physics is just dumb.
Yep. Which is why I assume he's a lying bag of shit.
Yep. Which is why I assume he's a lying bag of shit.
Thats propable, but most likely not.
Let's put it this way; Over the years, thousands of experiments have been carried out with results strengthening the theory that humans can survive an average of 3 days without water and a week without food. The proof/counter-proof ratio is currently around 1000 to 1.
Actually 1 experiment can completely debunk a theory.
Thats propable, but most likely not.
So your saying that this man grabs energy and nutrients out of his ass? It's obvious that he is getting access to basic facilities. There is just no other logical reasoning to how he lives.
So your saying that this man grabs energy and nutrients out of his ass? It's obvious that he is getting access to basic facilities. At the very worst you debunk some lying sack of shit and at the very best you have found something that will completely change the way we look at physics forever.
Which is why you do more tests. He was "blessed by a goddess". This is complete bull and shouldn't be taken seriously.
Which is why you do more tests. An area and a trade well known to be full of bullshit claims. I'm sure that a street con artist will be the one to prove that you can indeed make things disappear.

This is why he needs to undergo testing by science teams from the west.
When shit like this goes mainstream you have to debunk it otherwise people are going to be running around "OMG I can go without food for 70 years too!"
I doubt anyone's dumb enough to try that, and if they did they'd be dead in, what, three days with no water?
Oh really? :downs: I would have never guessed.
I doubt anyone's dumb enough to try that, and if they did they'd be dead in, what, three days with no water?
Believe it or not, people died from shit like this. They starve themselves to death by trying to live on nothing.
