For future exclusives.
Pretty much any decent looking PS3 game. Nothing about this looks impressive. What I'm seeing here is a barren world, lack of props, hideous cross-hatch dithering on hair and foliage, lots of low resolution textures, lack of fine details, low poly models.
The reflections aren't anything impressive either, even Vita could handle screen space reflections (see: Killzone Mercenary)
If this wasn't a MGS game, I doubt people would be praising the graphics at all.
Are you fucking serious.
Look at this game and just think of how far we've come graphically and stop your bitching.
Finally! REASONABLE SPECS!
This is why they need to release the Legacy collection on PC. People are going to start with GZ, and it's going to give people the wrong idea of what MGS games are about.
You know, I grabbed the Legacy collection for this PS3 I have, and I couldn't really play it... I can't recall what resolution MGS1 ran at on the PS1, 640x480? Either way, playing it on the PS3 on a 52" 1080p screen is simply unbearable. So I've just been playing it on the PC via emulator instead, full 1080p, AA, texture filtering etc etc, and I got my PS3 controller working with it just fine. It was easy as cake to set up, and I think if anyone honestly wants to play MGS1 or 2, just do it on your PC this way and buy yourself a cheap PS3 controller... it's basically perfect.

If you use emulation, yeah.
The PC ports, though?
... Ugh...

Legacy collection is in 1080p though? PS3 running PS2 and PS1 games looks pretty good actually
MGS4 on the other hand...
I'd be pretty hype with MGS4 on PC

Actually in the Legacy colleciton, MGS1 and VR missions are PSN codes you use to download the (sadly) upscaled PSClassics versions.

Yeah, the rest are alright, it's just MGS1 looks like someone is trying to make a pro-hart on your TV screen, it's nasty. I posted this in another thread, but this is how MGS1 looks for me emulated. And it's a perfect experience, no stuttering, no glitches, consistently smooth framerate (I'm running ancient hardware still, a Q6600 with a single HD6870 and 4gb of ram, and it's absolutely fine);

I'm loving it, it's what it SHOULD have been like on the PS3.
God, with minimum CPU requirements becoming more and more demanding I won't be able to run any games with my aging Phenom ii x4 pretty soon, even with a R9 270X. :(
Luckily (or perhaps unluckily) CPUs haven't had huge gains since sandy bridge and games are getting more and more GPU heavy than CPU heavy.

The extra lighting and screen space reflections are really impressive. Can't wait to jump into this.
