• Apple Acknowledges iPhone 5 Camera Problem, Says You’re Holding It Wrong

Apple should start a amputation and robot-hand branch to prevent stupid users from holding it wrong.
Friend of mine has the 5 and he says he doesn't have that issue.
Actually the 8th if you count the 3G and the 3GS as their own version.
Well that's just wrong. It's 7
I'm starting to notice apple going downhill since Steve's death and I'm worried about that
I love Apple and everything it makes but they've really dun goofed recently. Steve Jobs was Apple, now that he's gone, I fear they're fucked until they find a new Jobs, or they'll all be finding new jobs.
Wow jeez, this is really putting me off from buying my first iphone(which would be the iphone 5(I also have my reasons for buying it, so please don't label me as one of those sheep who has to get because apple said so)). I guess I should look into the Nokia Lumia 920, or wait to see if Apple will release a fix first.
You could just buy an iPhone 4. Just a suggestion.

"Hey apple your iphone 5 murdered my entire family and threw itself off a bridge" "Oh yeah, well that behaviour is perfectly normal in our new model, our engineering team suggests not feeding it after midnight" Fucking apple. :v:
More reasons not to buy apple products. You pay exorbitant prices only to get fucked in the ass.
Some people on fp likes that though.
It Just Works.

I don't see the appeal
What exactly is there to like about Apple? I don't see the appeal
I've never been one for it, but it's like luxury cars, the latest fashions and the like, people just like them as they see them as beautiful and stylish. For some people, brands matter, but for others it's totally unimportant.
What exactly is there to like about Apple? I don't see the appeal
They actually give a shit about how something looks and what materials its made out of.
The iPhone 5 has extra purple glare? That's odd. My iPhone 4 doesn't capture colors properly sometimes, especially the color purple. I can't show you the photos, though, because iTunes fucking deleted my photos and contacts when I connected my phone to sync it up. Apparently "restore your old settings" doesn't mean sound options and things like that (you know, settings), but rather deleting your photos and contacts and replacing them with older ones. Thanks, Apple!
Reasons why I'm still waiting to upgrade my phone, the first few models always have issues
I'm pretty sure it's more than just that.
I called 'you're holding it wrong' as the kind of excuse they'd have for the purple flare, I didn't think they'd hit the nail so hard on the head
Obviously Apple are doing this on purpose to get people to start using cameras again and wanting people to learn how to use Photoshop.
introducing the iSLR, eight megapixels of magical simplicity. isn't this the same excuse they used when the antenna debacle happened?
They actually give a shit about how something looks and what materials its made out of.
Ahaha! Do you have any other jokes in store? Because this one was hilarious.
Ahaha! Do you have any other jokes in store? Because this one was hilarious.
I'll have you know that apple selects only the most durable and refined materials thx
Ahaha! Do you have any other jokes in store? Because this one was hilarious.
Do elaborate.
Do elaborate.
See post by Daijitsu above yours. Apple products are always made out of shitty cheap plastic and even shittier aluminum.
Do elaborate.
Just because you feel like it's "expensive" it doesn't mean the material is high quality and durable. People always call the plastic on the Galaxy S3 "cheap" feeling but it's a durable plastic. How it feels doesn't mean shit practically. (And I'm not trying to start a debate over which phone is better, it's just an example of the materials)
New age fun with a vintage feel
They actually give a shit about how something looks and what materials its made out of.
Yeah man so what if it sucks, it looks nice right?
Apparently, Apple's excuse to all of their mistakes is simply "It's a feature" or "That's perfectly normal" now
It is perfectly normal because every fucking one of their phones is doing it. ....bunch of smartasses
Its Apple's built into camera Instagram app.
The weird thing is that this is largely the same camera as the 4S'. It doesn't make a lot of sense.
it uses a different sensor, so the optics were not adjusted properly to the sensor causing a magenta shift due to the wide angle nature of the lens it's not abnormal, but certainly a problem that is from apple relying on old optics while adapting a different camera sensor.
They actually give a shit about how something looks and what materials its made out of.
Apple isn't the only company to do that. And is that really the only positive thing you can say about Apple? How does that justify the price tag? The forceful marketing/competition stomping? Forcing you to keep Apple apps (see newsstand app, though not sure if they still force it)? The fact they charge out the ass for basic services other companies do for free (see iCloud and compare to dropbox, google drive, etc.)? Among other charges and restrictions, it begs the question "why would anyone spend so much for this?" I don't usually rant about Apple, because I've been trying to understand the logic behind buying an iPhone. Recently, it seems they've made a lot of mistakes though, and with those mistakes combined with the above reasons, I can't see how you can justify all that with nice looks, when there are plenty of nice looking phones out there too, if that's all you need
I don't usually rant about Apple, because I've been trying to understand the logic behind buying an iPhone.
Small, quick, great screen, iTunes, iMessage, more apps (?), class leading camera (well 4s anyways), sleek, not buggy, stuff like that They aren't bad phones. I got mine because I like the form factor (not many androids of similar size), great camera, not having to make a new music library, easy to use and learn UI, and the fantastic screen that's 3:2 ratio. It's not quite the pointless device you are making it out to be
it uses a different sensor, so the optics were not adjusted properly to the sensor causing a magenta shift due to the wide angle nature of the lens it's not abnormal, but certainly a problem that is from apple relying on old optics while adapting a different camera sensor.
I actually thought they just changed the lens and put a new processing chip (or whatever it's called) inside. They produce very similar results, with the iPhone 5 having a bit more aggressive noise reduction than the 4S - I assumed they used the same sensor.
