The actual combat aspects of the game look generic. The game in general looks bland with a bunch of fun features built-in.
That's because it is a generic bland standard shooter with immature jokes thrown into it.
But it seems to hold enough entertainment value in the jokes to work as light entertainment.
I think of it as a game you should get to just to get it and try it out.
Silliness at it's finest...Instant Buy
I want this game more than before.
I need it.
Shows some real classic FPS gameplay, looking forward to it.
Now all we need is a REAL Painkiller, like the old days :unsmith:

Prediction: game will finally come out and get bad-to-mediocre reviews from journalists, fans will flip out and defend it madly so user scores will be artificially inflated
Sort of like the opposite of what happened to Call of Duty

Something along those lines will most likely, and hopefully happen.
Haha, that's awesome. People have been making rat maps in Counter-Strike and loads of other multiplayer games for some time now, I'm surprised nobody has actually put in an actual mini-mode until now.
Who cares about wether a game you enjoy gets bad ratings. I never understood that whole culture, just enjoy your game and be happy, people with a brain doesn't dismiss a game on its ratings anyway.
Oh god yes. I'm not the only one that loves small maps right? (Small as in like rat maps)
An FPS? This is surprising. I was expecting it to be an RTS.
I don't know. Looks like it's missing that "thing" D3D had that made it awesome. Can't really judge untill it's out anyways.

Yeah, rat maps are part of my childhood. I remember playing rat maps in old Source games (Counter-Strike) when I was a kid, and I had tons of fun going into refrigerators, jumping over sinks, and bouncing on sponges. Tons of fun, so this only makes me more excited for Duke Nukem
Thank Bert I have already pre-ordered Balls of Steel Edition.
At first I didn't care much about this game, but it just keeps getting better and better. I do hope that the whole game is as entertaining as the trailers show, they could just be picking out the good parts.
This looks like something that wouldn't be more worthy than a rent to be honest. Looks really generic except for the humour, which is awesome - but would get boring after multiple play-throughs.
I definitely wanna play it sometimes, not sure if I want to buy it though.

Who cares about replayability unless it's a multiplayer focused game?
Singleplayer games are seldom worth playing more than once. As long as it's good that one time then it's good.

I agree, RPGs are pretty much the only single-player games that you may play again and again. If the campaign of an FPS does not have a high a replayability value, then no shits should be given, it's not important to this type of game.
Looks boring and stupid
garry what are you doing
Hahaha, "Size only matters when you're full grown, baby." :smug:
Fun fact: If you were born 3 years before the game was first announced, you're legally able to buy it and play it.

Just like GMOD

I do. A good story and gameplay will keep me coming back eventually, no matter what the game.
This however, looks like it has no story whatsoever (worth caring about) and generic gameplay with a few gimmicks mixed in like drawing dicks on blackboards and pissing in the toilet.
I mean, I'm not saying the game wont be worth the first playthrough, but it's not something I'd personally come back to - so rental seems better.
deserves GOTY.
