This was my favorite Pokemon generation. I still have the Ruby cart in my original GBA on my desk. This is almost enough to make me want a 3DS.
What is Pokemon isn't all that fun anymore? I mean, I've already played this game. Why do I have to play it again?
Ehhhhhhh well good for the people who haven't grown out of Pokemon I guess.

I might be a little skeptical about this due to the short time it appears to be developed between games. Then again maybe this was being developed in conjunction with the new engine they did with X and Y I just hope they improved the sound track, that was the worst thing about the third generation using the horn GBA sound chip. It was god damn annoying.
whatthefockmygod holy jesus well, more like NOOOOOO because I can't buy a 3DS... But oh my god. Oh. My. God. I loved the originals. It felt like a huge leap from GSC which I also loved, and it was an extremely awesome adventure in every way.
What saddens me is that Nintendo doesn't like to include the third game in a generation in the remakes. RIP in peace WaterBlue, BodyCrystal, and MuEmerald.
The G/S DS remakes had features from Crystal already in them, so it really wasn't needed. I mean it was basically the same game but it just felt different enough to justify the purchase. It is the same reason people buy 'HD Remakes' of games. Only this is a completely new, and isn't the old game with shiny new graphics.

Always hoped they would do some remakes like this instead of churning out more retarded pokemon. Would be even better if it only included the pokemon that were in the original Ruby and Sapphire as well.
Welp, I guess I need a 3DS now. Pokémon Sapphire was definitely my all-time favourite Pokémon game. I sank about 120 hours into it even before I beat the elite four.
I hope this means we'll get to fight Steven again, and not that nonce Wallace. The former was always the true champion.

They will leave out all the Pokemon that were introduced in Ruby and Sapphire. To be serious, judging the remakes of Red and Blue and Gold and Silver and how they didn't have any of the new Pokemon, it's to expect.
Sweet ,we will able to get latios, latias, jirachi ,and deoxy without ereaders~
Even if I wasn't a huge fan of the Hoenn games, waking up to news of a new Pokémon game just made my entire week. Fucking awesome.

Should had played without running shoes and tried to get at least 200 hours instead of 80. Had like 600 on the original. They make awesome games, and then they remake them years later, giving what was once a great adventure, a whole new fresh and improved look.
They better still have the secret base feature

Man this shit is going to fucking awesome. I also hope they bring back secret bases, i loved messing with these things.
I never took the plunge into the newer games. Maybe I should; I stopped around after ruby and sapphire
Black and white, and also X and Y were great. Definitely good reasons to get a 3DS. Especially now that THIS particular cat is out of the bag. So happy I got one, I'm definitely getting my money's worth out of it.

Mach and Acro bikes return!
No love for Emerald lovers D:
Mach and Acro bikes return!
I hope not, at least not in the way i had to return to rydel every time i wanted to go to a different place. Either way though. Best fucking way to start my morning
Sound the trumpets.
Totally getting Sapphire. That was my 2nd pokemon game ever played, and dammit, I'll do it again! I wonder if they'll add something new to it, like the Sevii islands in FireRed/Leafgreen
holy cannoli sapphire was the only pokémon game that i found myself pouring my soul in it. i remember me and my friends playing it during summer camps when we were seven or something. we're so regetting these.
I've only ever beaten R/S once, not sure why.
You have already played Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire? Tell me about it. Do you even understand what the point of a remake is? To attract new players who didn't get to play the original.
No. I played Ruby. After red, yellow, gold and then Ruby I was getting tired of the same repeating plot. Get pokemon, find more pokemon. Wipe the floor with gym leaders and shits on the routes and fight elite four again. Then do side missions and trade with other people. Next game. Rinse and repeat. By the time Diamond hit shelves it was boring.
Honestly, I hope there's no new pokemon. The roster feels too big imo, and I have no idea who they are anymore.
They never introduce new pokemon with the remakes, but it's almost guaranteed that there will be new mega evolutions for existing pokemon; Latios and Latias already have mega evolution files in XY.
