Well, I'm going to have to buy a 3DS now. I remember enjoying Gen 3 more than the first Gen. I'll be all over this.
Sapphire was always my favourite. :v: Although I'm curious if there'll be any changes to the graphics compared to X/Y.
Honestly, I hope there's no new pokemon. The roster feels too big imo, and I have no idea who they are anymore.
I'm pretty sure Game Freak is well aware of this, Gen Vl has the fewest new pokemon out of any generation so far. Also they never add new pokemon in the remakes.
Anyway, I am so hyped for this. I can't wait to play through my second favorite generation again but with modern graphics and the more polished mechanics from XY. [editline]7th May 2014[/editline]
No. I played Ruby. After red, yellow, gold and then Ruby I was getting tired of the same repeating plot. Get pokemon, find more pokemon. Wipe the floor with gym leaders and shits on the routes and fight elite four again. Then do side missions and trade with other people. Next game. Rinse and repeat. By the time Diamond hit shelves it was boring.
Well nobody's forcing you to buy the games, but a lot of people enjoy them and pay money for them, so they're going to keep coming out.
No love for Emerald lovers D:
No love for Yellow and Crystal lovers either, so get over it.

For example, it's hard to compare R/B/Y's plot to B/W's plot, as they are basically completely different outside of the established core to a pokemon game.
Oh man, I played these the most when I was younger out of all them in the series at the time. I am very excited they're finally remaking them in glorious 3d.

Wasn't there a review that took points away from Pokemon XY because "It felt too much like a pokemon game"?

People get the excitement of Pokemon by going past all the towns and getting all these awesome pokemon and to train them as they grow stronger and stronger, kinda like a typical MMO where you just grind to become more and more powerful.
Will the Regitrio puzzles be redesigned or not is honestly my biggest question about it right now.
They're remaking these because it's the 10th anniversary of Ruby and Sapphire's release. Anyone who didn't feel old before I said that; you're welcome.
They're remaking these because it's the 10th anniversary of Ruby and Sapphire's release. Anyone who didn't feel old before I said that; you're welcome.
it came out in 2003 though

I wonder why GameFreak's logo does not appear anymore in the boxes of Pokemon [editline]7th May 2014[/editline] oh wait they have never appeared on the boxes..

My teacher would let us bring our Gameboy Advance and we'd bring link cables so we could play with each during recess. I remember getting Groudon from a friend to help me beat the Elite Four. I feel old.
it came out in 2003 though
2002 in Japan.
Thread Music: My favorite of all pokemon songs/themes, the dive tune! Still going to cover this one day. Gotta be my favorite pokemon generation of all time.
SECRET BASES
oh god thank you for reminding me about that. it was one of my favorite features
Where is my 3D-- ... Uh, time to get a job. c:
I played X and i got bored of it tbh. Can someone explain whats so special about it? I like the anime tho
X/Y is like the best of every Pokemon game, put together into one game.
I don't like the way they're going with the 3D perspective. I'm almost expecting an FPS now. Please go back to top-down small characters.
I don't like the way they're going with the 3D perspective. I'm almost expecting an FPS now. Please go back to top-down small characters.
the 3D in XY looked amazing, what are you talking about
X/Y is like the best of every Pokemon game, put together into one game.
the 3D was definitely nice but as a pokemon game it was terribly and blatantly half-assed in a lot of places
the 3D was definitely nice but as a pokemon game it was terribly and blatantly half-assed in a lot of places
How so?

Sometimes, you just gotta accept the way thiings are, and personally I love the new 3D style. On a side note, a Pokémon FPS? Think realistically, here.
How so?
almost non-existent post-game only one trainer for inverse battles (missed opportunity of the CENTURY) short-as-fuck routes shitty animations just for the sake of sky battles no useful differences between day and night, and no seasons at all gym leaders, the champion, and your character's friends have ZERO personality or involvement (remember Black and White? almost every gym leader was cool as hell and a local hero) and worst of all it's easy as fuck compared to the rest
nintendo certainly isnt the king of rehashes anymore, its game freak

Singleplayer was a massive letdown, but multiplayer is still great, and they finally made breeding actually good.
