Won't be long till they fire some rockets at the ISS. Take that USA for putting sanctions on us :v:
they've got people up there too they're gonna send soldiers up to annex it in the name of the native russians onboard
No matter how far you are from the earth, you will always return to it eventually. The key is to accelerate once in space... On topic, didn't Russia already call dibs on its own parts of the ISS once it will be decommissioned? Fuck man even science and research is becoming subject of this retardation spergrace between NATO and Rus Rus. Fucking Rus Rus... fucking NATO...
Not if you're moving at 11,200 m/s.
they've got people up there too they're gonna send soldiers up to annex it in the name of the native russians onboard
And suddenly, a pro-Russian ISS self-defense force appears immediately prior to the annexation.
Not if you're moving at 11,200 m/s.
Well the ISS does have to accelerate once and awhile. wow
Even a hypothetical perfect trampoline can't do anything but return you the energy you land on it with. so to get to space off a trampoline you would have to already be moving at velocity of falling from the spot you want to get to. I suppose it might still help you by making smaller jumps repeatedly and building energy up, but even with perfect trampoline and infinite stamina, after few dozen meters you wouldn't be able to keep up with the air friction.
Just drew this crappy diagram. It would be hilarious if this worked.
This just in: Russia launches Nuclear Snark Attack
however they intend to launch both on proton rockets which are both russian and grounded for being too explodey
They're not grounded. You need to learn to fact check.
Sooo does this mean we can have another Space Race? First one to colonize Mars wins?
*Moon. [editline]1st May 2014[/editline]
More like the entire global space program will crumble and nothing will get done for decades to come.
It's crawling at a snails pace currently, even if you add up every country's space program budget, it doesn't even reach $50 billion, so sad.
Well, let's hope it's just andother dumbass talking out of his ass. The worst thing we can do is to involve space cooperation in this shit.
Well, let's hope it's just andother dumbass talking out of his ass. The worst thing we can do is to involve space cooperation in this shit.
He's a nationalist. What do you want him to say when another country is trying to hurt his.
I hope it's just words. Back in 70's, when our relationship was an actual Cold War, we still coopearate. Remember that stuff? We will build first city on Mars together, im sure of it. Cooperation between us in space is a natural and should not be affected by politics at all. Ah, just checked his tweet, he just joking. Well, laughing at those sanctions is what our goverment are currently doing.
Manned Dragon has to pass years of NASA requirements before they'll let it have people. Could be ready faster if they lightened the requirements. Its gonna do two launch abort tests this year. Should be launching crew by 2016.
Unfortunately it likely won't. Falcon Heavy was already supposed to be flying, and now the first launch is likely slated for 2016. SpaceX likely won't be sending astronauts up until a bit later.
