Maybe this is all part of the ISIS plan. I mean, if ISIL keeps changing their name, then eventually IS will have used every possible acronym and we won't back able to communicate in a non-offensive way.

I know a few IT companies called ISYS guess it KINDA sucks for them.

Western society completely dropped all forms of the Swastika, the Roman Salute, and even more Americans stopped speaking German (before WW1, it was a very common language in America). Especially in Germany, the names "Adolf" and "Hitler" became near extinct from parents not using it and existing people changing their names.

I have to admit, when a lot of the ISIS shit started hitting the news, I first saw it here on facepunch and figured it was some Smurfy titled article about Archer.

I wonder if a terrorist group will ever purposely take a well established name. Imagine "The CIA threatens the white house" "CIA members targeted by CIA" Would be confusing that's for sure
