Can someone tell me why he's apparently going to walk despite him shooting an unarmed boy to death?

trayvon attacked zimmerman first, and before that was acting shady in a neighborhood that had been hit recently. he had every justification to shoot him.
Can someone tell me why he's apparently going to walk despite him shooting an unarmed boy to death?
Ignoring all of the debate about if he was right to shoot or whatever, because the state has very little evidence (from what we know) and the charge is of second degree murder.
Can someone tell me why he's apparently going to walk despite him shooting an unarmed boy to death?
That's kinda biased considered the inconsistency of evidence in the case. For all we know he could be walking free for shooting a unarmed boy or for defending himself from being attacked. There really is no way to tell at this point.
i could give a fuck what the investigation concludes about who "started" the physical confrontation. without zimmerman's overzealous and likely racially motivated hero complex martin would be alive and zimmerman could go on living his pathetic life of mediocrity
Which is why hes guilty. Even if Zimmerman did get hit by Treyvon, he pulled a fucking gun on him. No shit when some crazy man pulls over and pulls a gun on you for the crime of being Black you are going to go into fight or flight and you can cant very well run from a dude with a gun a few meters from you can you.

So you are saying that after Zimmerman followed this dude around, called the cops on him because he was walking home while black in a white mans gated community, continued to follow him and pulled over and got out of his truck after the cops told him not too that Trevyon was the one to instigate it.

Bajeezus does no one bother to actually look at what we know at this point instead of repeating this shit?

Source.
Source.
Source your stuff as well
might have to do with the fact that there is no evidence that he chased him down.
Apart from the phone call to police where he said thats what he was doing and kept doing it anyway when the operator said to stop.
Apart from the phone call to police where he said thats what he was doing and kept doing it anyway when the operator said to stop.
that doesn't mean zimmerman threw the first punch...
Apart from the phone call to police where he said thats what he was doing and kept doing it anyway when the operator said to stop.
Following someone is not the same as chasing him down and its unclear if he did or did not stop.

Listen to it. He thinks Trayvon is suspicious because hes wearing a hoody in the rain.
"these assholes always get away"
"Are you following him" "Yes" "Ok we don't need you to do that"
Zimmerman went after him anyway, unless you want to tell me that for no reason at all Trayvon just turned around and started stalking him.

According to Zimmerman he came after him when he was heading back, possibly after getting pissed he was following him.

oh well that makes it all okay then i mean clearly since trayvon is unwilling to testify (oh wait hes dead) then ill just take zimmerman's word for it and assume trayvon decided to pull a 180 and charge zimmerman out of nowhere despite having no motive and showing no signs of aggression beforehand
According to Zimmerman
If I'm not mistaken, there were eyewitnesses to the shooting.

on the same token why would Zimmerman shoot Trayvon completely unprovoked while the police were already on their way? Its an awful way to murder someone and I hope nobody would suggest that it was a scheme to claim self-defense.

I never said to take Zimmerman's word for it, only that its a possibility that Trayvon got angry towards Zimmerman and decided to pummel him. You guys can't seem to grasp that there isn't a whole lot of info one way or the other.
Pretty sure Zimmerman is gonna walk
This case has been so convoluted its really hard to tell who is at fault
He was a civilian who shot a 17 year old kid.
Hard to tell who is at fault? Really?

What do you mean pull a 180? You don't know what kind of person Trayvon was, we have no idea how out of the ordinary being an aggressive teenager was to him, and if anything a lot of the things we do know about him paint a not so good picture. And anyway, why do you give Trayvon the benefit of the doubt, because he's black? If he was white, would there be any controversy (probably not). Zimmerman likely had a good reason to shoot Trayvon, to say otherwise is to imply Zimmerman just decided to murder a random black kid for no reason at all.

Uh if you really think that you can just summarize this, and decide the verdict based on their positions in society and age, then you're being an idiot.
He was a civilian who shot a 17 year old kid.

Sorry, forgot 17 year olds aren't capable of inflicting serious bodily harm. Case closed everyone

He would have had every right to hit Zimmerman because that would have been self defense. Zimmerman was the one confronting him with a gun.

You also forget many news outlets got slammed for editing the original audio to make him look guilty. So who knows if that is even the real fucking audio.
He would have had every right to hit Zimmerman because that would have been self defense. Zimmerman was the one confronting him with a gun.
From where do you know that Zimmerman had his weapon drawn?
on the same token why would Zimmerman shoot Trayvon completely unprovoked while the police were already on their way? Its an awful way to murder someone and I hope nobody would suggest that it was a scheme to claim self-defense.
You can already hear in the phone call that hes gearing up for a confrontation. "These assholes always get away" and continuing to follow him after the operator says not to.
If I'm not mistaken, there were eyewitnesses to the shooting.
I have not heard the same, however even if there are witnesses to the shooting it doesn't mean anything. That's because the shooting is not in question, it's the context of the shooting, what happened BEFORE the shooting, that is in question.
Right now I know of no evidence that's been reported that contradicts Zimmerman's account of events. I think, based on the reporting thus far, that only two people know what happened, and one of them is dead. Furthermore, I think it's obvious that's why Zimmerman wasn't charged back when it first happened, they knew then there was no way to convict him.
Public outrage has forced, for political reasons, a trial. Casey Anthony is a good example of this kind of thing going on in Florida. If the people cry loud enough, the Powers That Be will give them their trial even if it's doomed to fail.
You also forget many news outlets got slammed for editing the original audio to make him look guilty. So who knows if that is even the real fucking audio.
IIRC that was taking small parts out of the call and using that to say he said other things which he didn't. I didn't do that.
From where do you know that Zimmerman had his weapon drawn?
From where the fuck does anybody know anything? All we know is that there's one dead teenager who was trailed and then shot by a neighborhood watch member despite the fact that he was doing nothing illegal.
If "things we don't know" have to be entirely discounted from our interpretations of events then that makes a pretty open and shut case for Zimmerman's guilt since all of your arguments about how it could become legal for him to shoot someone who he himself went out of his way to confront are based on just as much conjecture as what you're trying to call me out for.

Zimmerman even got fired for being aggressive and having a temper. The boy also got shot away from the street, showing that Zimmerman got out of his car and chased him in there.
There's also a difference between silly ironic pictures and wanting to be a thug. Wannabes try to act like tough shit: Trayvon going back to fight Zimmerman.
Yes, 'wannabes' do try to act tough and start shit.
Zimmerman, who
1) had a gun on him and left his vehicle to follow Trayvon, both things discouraged by the neighborhood watch,
2) called the police for every little possible thing (such as someone not staring in one direction while walking and wearing a hoodie),
3) said he was tired of criminals always getting away,
4) explicitly said he wanted to be a cop,
was a wannabe cop.
He wanted to be a hero who stopped a criminal, so he followed Trayvon in order to try and stop him from a crime he wasn't going to commit. And then things turned ugly.
