But...
it also teaches about economics.
Just slightly disturbing kids that age would go into that much thought to kill someone they thought was 'annoying'.
mitchell and johson back in the 90s. they were 11/12, killed 5 people and wounded ~10 when they fired on them
fun stuff!
"They hit people with sticks, they set a cat on fire. Those are things that children do. But this was a plot to kill."
They set a cat on fire and hit people with sticks, that's normal things children do! Are people really that retarded? And then they're probably going to blame videogames.
Pfft. Amateurs.
I hit people with sticks that had a flaming cat on the end when I was a kid.
I imagine a deep underlying cause is that kids these days are more subject to seeing violence, guns and murder. (Yes, even in games). With that said it would be more common for a kid in this day and age to commit crimes and violent acts then a kid 20 years ago or so.
Must be videogames... but this is really disturbing.
Yup. I agree totally. Can't believe air is still legal.
To be clear I personally blame parents and the media.
I watched a lot of violent anime when I was in elementary school. Yet at the time, I was terrified of the violence that occurred in the actual world. It's mostly because my parents described how horrifying violence was through the use of murder documents.
Instead of restricting an entertainment medium, I think that parents should inform children the consequences of real world violence.
Reminds me of the NY Times article Can You Call a 9-Year-Old a Psychopath?
God, this is unbelievable. Nobody is ever that annoying.
even if it is the video games, 11 and 10 year olds shouldn't be playing video games that feature such violence anyway. Parents fault for bringing their children up shitly and not teaching them the difference between playing violent video games and actually committing violent acts.
No. We have been through this before. Don't bring this up again.
Bring up what again? The fact that there's violent videogame/television entertainment everywhere around us?

Most kids just KNOW video game violence is wrong just by natural common sense, even if they aren't taught it
Darn that's scary... I was even afraid to give some of my friends a ride to their house after school(most were just lazy to walk 1-2 blocks while I drove outside town).
Also, lighting a cat on fire is normal for children? I use to chase cats and play with cap guns and my family thought I was crazy.

The joke, man.
You didn't get it.
Me and my friends used to hit each other with sticks. How long do I have until I turn psycho?!
so this is what hotline miami is like in real life
holy shit where did they even get the $80, at that point i was fucking laughing

My first ever videogame was Halo when I was 5. It taught me to cooperate with humans to kill alien bitches in self defense. Of course if 5 year olds play CoD (which is more likely nowadays) they learn to kill people, mostly Russians or Terrorists.
I find it stupid that people think videogames are cause of violence. They are if some psycopath plays them to grasp some concepts of perfect crimes, but on the other hand, if cops played these games, they'd find ways to solve these perfect crimes. Videogames are not the cause of violence.

Oh please, everyone has had someone so annoying that you just stare at them imagining smashing their head in.

Oh cool, 3,333 posts.
I find this very disturbing. Especially since they're only 10 and 11 year old kids who were plotting to kill a girl classmate because they thought she was "really annoying".
Kids these days, KIDS THESE DAYS!
always trying to murder one another!
Gotta be some damn unresponsible parents seeing how the 10 year old could get both gun and ammunition. In Sweden weapons are required by law to be inside their lockers unless you use them. I think there also are checks done by the police from time to time.
We are the year where children are crazy, as parents really don't teach their kids to play nice, they never discipline them, and now this the result of what will happen when your let your ignorant children do stupid shit like this, this is already a dark age where i go out in restaurant or in the movie theaters, and public places and see so much ignorance that people think that I am only one going crazy when they see this shit.
Nobody knows how to dress appoprately, hence why i still see people go out in pajama's at wal-mart and other places.
Nobody knows how to shut their screaming child mouths up at resturant, they act like they don't care at all.
Nobody knows how to hire a babysitter to babysit the kids before they go to a movie theater to watch a movie, hence why i see people bring in babies and kids who always talking and doing stupid things in the theater that distract people from watching a movie.
it seems common scene no longer taught, and stupity is raising and gave birth to stupid laws, stupid programs, stupid shit on TV, and more stupid crap left and right that just make me think this world is done for.
sorry is this sound all doomsayer but this is the truth from my experience, people are stupid and stupidity is taking over the whole system, one teenage baby popper at a time.
