Hey you should follow your own advice.
Let's face it, you're literally telling people who are offended at something to walk away, and offended at the fact that people say that's fucking stupid and contradictory advice.
This kind of joke is something you say ironically one time, and that's the end of it.
Why? What a waste of time "hang on, lemme not do this; it might offend someone". No, people on the internet exagerate just how offended they really are, i garen-fucking-tee you that no-one in this thread would say anything to someone wearing this shirt; and would simply mutter "wow, what an asshole" under their breath while walking away. No-one has lost sleep over this shirt. Period. And anyone saying they have is lying, or in need of comittment to a psych institute.
My mother, my sister, and my girlfriend have all been raped in the past. You damn well better believe if I see shit like that on someone I'm going to get in their fucking face about it.
You watch someone's self esteem and confidence grow more shattered and destroyed because of something like that and tell me you wouldn't get angry about it. And my mental health is perfectly fine, thank you very much.
What I'm saying is, rape jokes are ok, because we can all be grown ass adults and excuse ourselves if someone is saying something offensive
there's a difference between a slightly offensive joke you can just brush off and one that can bring out all sorts of emotional trauma back
you're shifting the blame towards the person who gets offended for getting offended! do you realize how fucking ridiculous that is? who are you to say what people should and shouldn't get offended by? if i go around memorial day celebrations wearing a shirt that's clearly making fun of veterans are they the immature ones for thinking it's offensive?
What I'm saying is, rape jokes are ok, because we can all be grown ass adults and excuse ourselves if someone is saying something offensive. It's not like a joke takes 30 minutes to tell, you can literally leave for a minute and a half and miss most things that are "offending" you. Obviously this sort of thing isn't universally offensive as you think it is.
you can also be a grown ass adult and take criticism or the fact someone disagrees with you
you're being offended at other people being offended
grow up gosh~~
it's not a bad tshirt, its a good ass rag.
