Are you upset that uncle Rodrigez will have a harder time getting into the country and staying illegally now? Poor you. (User was permabanned for this post ("Racism" - TH89))
:cawg:
god damned immigrants being lazy and being better at my job and STEALING it
flaming isn't the best way to respond
racism isn't either man. It's effin offensive
Explain yourself.
Let's take environmental issues, for example. There is a small amount of regulation that we need to keep our environment clean. BUT, several ideas are being put forth that I sincerely believe would heavily damage the country. Cap and Trade, first and foremost. Putting out Carbon is a basic byproduct of existing as a human being. At the most basic level, this would tax us for breathing. At the most advanced, it would tax us for driving vehicles deemed 'environmentally unfriendly' by the government, and I'm pretty sure that it's not up to them what I drive. And the whole 'tax as you drive' thing is coming up as well. Basically, it would force every car in America to have a GPS installed in/on it, which would tell the government exactly how much you drive, and they would tax you 2-4 cents per mile. This may not sound like much, but the average American drives about 12,500 miles per year. That's another $250-$500 in taxes. I can see neither of these leftist-originating ideas improving our lives as Americans, despite the claims by their supporters that they would 'make a cleaner environment'. (User was permabanned for this post ("Racism" - TH89))
...TH89, I don't know if that was perma-worthy. He's been posting here for years, and he's only had 3 bans before, the only race-related one being 22 months ago. Although it was kind of a dick comment. [editline]09:31PM[/editline]
Yeah, but getting rid of illegal immigrants would destroy our economy. Since the very beginning of the Colonies of America, they've relied on labour that they've gotten from the outside.
It's been said before, and I'll say it again. American Citizens are not above doing the jobs that illegals do right now.
so liberals are destroying this country by not encouraging people to drive large polluting cars and i'm pretty sure no-one's united on a tax as you drive program
It's not in the government's power to dictate what cars I can and cannot drive. [editline]09:34PM[/editline]
uhh yeah they are why else would illegal immigrants take up the spot you're acting as if the past doesn't exist
People hire illegals because they work for a a whole lot less money.
It's not in the government's power to dictate what cars I can and cannot drive.
then what's the problem?
People hire illegals because they work for a a whole lot less money.
which americans aren't willing to do so they are above working in those jobs
then what's the problem?
No, you are misunderstanding me. I'm saying that the government is trying to do this, but they legally cannot.
which americans aren't willing to do so they are above working in those jobs
No. Americans ARE willing to do them. Shady employers hire illegals because it will cost them less.
No, you are misunderstanding me. I'm saying that the government is trying to do this, but they legally cannot.
What's your source?
What's your source?
He's yet to provide a source for all his claims.
I live in georgia and I'm part hispanic. Fuck America
Now i'm ashamed you're using my drawing as an avatar. Go back to that shit stain called mexico then if you don't like it here.
Do you want our agricultural economy to collapse? Do you want to pay 10 times what you do now for produce?
I didn't ask anyone too do my job. Once their gone you know who will do American jobs? Americans.
No, you are misunderstanding me. I'm saying that the government is trying to do this, but they legally cannot.
so? and the government isn't a single decisive entity
No. Americans ARE willing to do them. Shady employers hire illegals because it will cost them less.
illegal immigrants don't magically make things cost less, either americans do them and if they don't the market opens for illegal immigrants employers would much rather employ americans than illegal immigrants [editline]07:03PM[/editline]
Now i'm ashamed you're using my drawing as an avatar.
Are you joking? Seriously? Whenever I drive out to Home Depot (or any large DiY store), there's a score of people standing at one end of the lot, waiting for work. I've seen people come along and pick them up for it, too. I also saw the cops drive there once. It was for something completely unrelated, yet every single person who was there waiting for work bolted off as soon as the cops pulled into the lot. I live in Silver Spring, by the way. Yes, this is a problem. There are several known gangs who cause serious drug-related problems. EDIT: Who are known to be composed of illegals.
Oh I lived in Howard. I never remembered illegals being a problem there. [editline]11:38PM[/editline] What's more, I lived in Columbia.
Source
ok i read utah and quit, i am going into scholl to be a cop, i would be required to stop every mexican i see, along with any other person, if i wanted to keep my job that is, because i would be sued for profiling faster than i could pop a load off, this sounds like shit and will never pass
Do you want our agricultural economy to collapse? Do you want to pay 10 times what you do now for produce?
People rating you dumb don't understand how much work illegals do. You think they're taking your jobs? Okay, you agree to work for minimum wage 16 hours a day in the sun. [editline]01:49AM[/editline]
ok i read utah and quit, i am going into scholl to be a cop, i would be required to stop every mexican i see, along with any other person, if i wanted to keep my job that is, because i would be sued for profiling faster than i could pop a load off, this sounds like shit and will never pass
I hope you're going to school to learn how to spell school right too.

That's actually a myth. Most illegals actually DO NOT do agricultural labor. They used too, however now illegals are more commonly picking Office jobs or going unemployed.
Source?
Most illegals who come here refuse to learn English(and there have been "walk-outs" in the past, where Mexican students refused to learn English and American history in American public schools because it was "wrong".)
Source?
Illegals don't pay any sort of tax, while taking advantage of Public Education, National Defense, Food Stamps and welfare.
Source? http://www.usatoday.com/money/perfi/taxes/2008-04-10-immigrantstaxes_N.htm
1. I don't have a source, I remember reading on Yahoo! news that immigrants were starting to favor Office and Maid work, as opposed to manual labor. I'll try to find the article. 2. Just google "Student Walkouts". The East LA Walkouts of 1968 were the largest, but they still happen on occasion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_L.A._walkouts That article doesn't say what exactly they were protesting, simply that they were "concerned with the quality of their education", but you can easily find their motives and goals by google'ing them. 3. Fuck. I hate to admit it, but I don't actually have a reply to counter that news article. After I looked it up myself to see if your news article was true, I realized that I was very wrong. The majority of illegal immigrants do indeed pay taxes, so I admit that I was wrong. However. After researching it further, I came to discover that despite that the majority of them pay taxes, their taxes only account to roughly half of what they cost the country. But, that is more-so due to the fact that nearly 2/3rds of illegal immigrants lack necessary paperwork/education to get high paying jobs and not that they are illegal immigrants. http://cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html Mind you, the stats I linked are several years old(2004), so some of them may be incorrect but I doubt they changed drastically over 6 years. So, I admit I was incorrect about them not paying taxes. I'm not the kind of guy who argues when solid evidence is presented to them.
"Illegals do all the work you don't want to do" is a terrible fucking argument. They still should not be here illegally. You guys are blowing this way out of proportion.
"Illegals do all the work you don't want to do" is a terrible fucking argument. They still should not be here illegally. You guys are blowing this way out of proportion.
No one is saying they should be here illegally, but it's impractical to kick them out for a wide number of reasons, so we just need to deal with them as they are.
No one is saying they should be here illegally, but it's impractical to kick them out for a wide number of reasons, so we just need to deal with them as they are.
It's not impractical to check if they are US citizens when they are pulled over because the police officer has probable cause to do so. And probable cause is not pulling them over because they are Mexican. They can't do that and that is illegal. They aren't setting up fucking road blocks. Stop trying to make this into something more than it is.
"Illegals do all the work you don't want to do" is a terrible fucking argument.
I disagree. It has pros and cons, just like everything else.
Are you joking? Seriously? Whenever I drive out to Home Depot (or any large DiY store), there's a score of people standing at one end of the lot, waiting for work.
There's at least 30 every day at my Home Depot, and I'm all the way up in the state of Washington! My mom hired one once too. I should have slapped her.
I disagree. It has pros and cons, just like everything else.
It has pros and cons but it's still illegal. You can't just have people here illegally and then just say "nah it's cool they are working in the fields". Well ok but they are here illegally. We can't just have people pour in and excuse it because they are doing shit jobs. Becoming a US citizen is a pain in the ass and I think it should be reformed, but having no regulation on it at all is a very very bad idea.
It's not impractical to check if they are US citizens when they are pulled over because the police officer has probable cause to do so. This means as a mexican-american you can get pulled over for an out taillight and then be detained while they check your immigration status. I think these likely scenarios are what are making people mad.

They didn't pull you over just to check your immigration status, they can't. They check everything else when you get pulled over anyway, what's wrong with your immigration status being checked as well. It's not like it takes any more time. They check if you have any warrants and shit anyway, it would just be something quick like that.
Im not sure where the fact that almost 10% of American Citizens are unemployed fits in this particular situation. At this point in time, many Americans are willing to work anywhere to keep their shit straight. Regardless, Liberals need to realize that this IS a big issue and it needs to be addressed. The fact that they are here illegally draining government money that is aiding in the crippling of our economy. Why should the USA pay for illegal immigrant's welfare, schooling, hospitilization, and food stamps? Oh yeah because SOME people believe everyone on Earth has fucking equal rights in the USA as US Citizens.
You forget everyone is from the same place, earth. tl;dr americans crying about people without legal documentation doing a better job then them.
