The Avatar Machine: View the world around you in Third Person

This is amazing
They should make two and have them fight
If it wasn't for that ridiculous suit, it would be kinda cool.
Just a normal helmet and that backpack thing, not the embarassing video game looking thing.
Good luck tying your shoelaces with this.
Or sending a text.
Do you have to wear the faggy anime hair too?
Take away the goddamn costume factor and it might be alright. If they're going any farther they should add some type of HUD, I mean if your making a third person suit might as well go all out.

Yeah, a HUD with a life bar and everything.
Maybe even an arousal meter...
None of that shits possible though, if only... :(

Yeah, but they could put some non functioning ones as decoration.
This would also be good if they could make some sort of sport with it.
Like paintball, but in third person.
I want to see someone use it drunk!

Guy viewing a female "Stimulus meter at :geno: level"
Guy viewing a male "Stimulus meter at :gay: level"
Guy will say, "Huh, thing must be broken, stupid piece of shit :v:"
Apparently, the stimulus level will be based off of anime series in my mind :v:

The camera totally wouldn't give you away

It's not that big though.
and who knows, maybe they'll use SATELLITES!
:science:
[editline]05:18PM[/editline]
in later versions of course
I'll stick with my first person machine thank you.

Hell, maybe it'll just be over the shoulder. Which, in my opinion, would work a lot better in real life.
i posted this in like 2006 when they had their first prototype
While we're at it let's watch ourselves get laid with that thing on!
Oh wait
i posted this in like 2006 when they had their first prototype
So then think of this like an update...
I'd totally like to dick around with this thing in private. Maybe attempt freerunning or riding a bike. But I would hate to be stuck in something that ridiculous.
To be honest if I had something like that (the camera not the gay shit) I'd most likely do more shit just to see how it looks :\
I get the feeling while wearing this people will be less afraid of doing things...

Ladies and gentlemen a psychologist.
I'd like to sneak up behind the camera, hook a rope onto it and give it a solid tug
Or sneak up IN FRONT of them and kick them
Throw a blanket over the camera. :smug:
Didn't someone already do something similar to this that was way more awkward but you didn't need stupid hair?
I can't find the video but it was this big apparatus stuck on this guys back, and he was walking around in his backyard. That's what I thought this was about at first.
Or is that the same thing? Man I forgot.
The suit looks stupid though.

Funny thing is: you're probably incredibly right. But i would mainly be because of the awareness we'd have over ourselves. Instead of worrying how we're standing or whatever we can simply adjust and not have to worry. Plus the whole third person thing makes it seem like you're watching someone else rather than yourself.

Less shakes/rough movement
Edit: That one's homemade as well
Now they should put a hud on it.

My humour meter just increased a bit.
The camera is pretty poorly positioned. Fish eye view, non adjustable, and right on your back.
This could be done so much better. And without looking like Cloud had sex with a Gundum.
It's another one of those interesting, but useless inventions.
