• Kojima Stepping Down at Konami?

Shit yeah, I forgot how long the FOX engine was in development, I remember seeing previews for it well before PP was even considered.
Imagine if Kojima directed a gta, ho my
Imagine if Kojima directed a gta, ho my
Nah. I think that'd fall short of GTA expectations. TBH I think Rockstar are the best people for the job, GTA V is amazing.
tbh, a better re phrase would be 'Imagine if Kojima started to do Freelance work as a director for a bunch of different series.'
Kojima should join Platinum's path of making lighthearted cool games based on other licences while also working on his own stuff on the side. Except while Platinum has to deal with a relatively small budget due to making quite niche titles Kojima could literally just waltz in at any publisher and get drowned in millions.
While I'm glad that Kojima is finally no longer being held down to make more Metal Gears, it's bittersweet that it had to end this way. Here's hoping that Silent Hills doesn't get screwed over by this and become something completely different from P.T. (if it was ever gonna be similar to it in the first place). Of course, if the Metal Gear series taught me anything, there's no one truly evil in the world. I'm gonna assume that while Konami has pulled some shit in the past, Kojima isn't an angel either. Metal Gear Rising supposedly being worked on for 5 years only for it to be revealed it was outsourced (while Konami threw money at Kojima which I assume was put towards the Fox Engine) probably didn't help either side. Still, I think Konami was silly to do it like this, and that I hope Kojima gets to work on things he actually wants to in the future.
Guys, this isn't a ruse. Konami is a publicly traded billion dollar company and their entire company's stock is falling as a result of this. Unless this is countered by the announcement that Kojima will be working at Konami due to another 30 year contract, I can't see this doing the company any favors.
Well Konami still has a bunch of income from their Arcade stuff so I doubt they care.

Koji Pro tried developing Rising on their own as a stealth based game similar to Solid, but due to Kojimas lack of involvement, it failed miserably, so he stepped in, stopped the project and gave it to Platinum. This wasnt a secret, this was all publically disclosed. [editline]21st March 2015[/editline] The Platinum version of Rising was only in development for something around 2 years.
i hope that fails them they deserve to go bankrupt
I hope not because konami make a lot of great arcade games.
as much as i hate konami a lot of the time kojima is almost certainly not where konami make most of their money konami are going to shift towards mobile and arcade only some day
you could have just said konami is shit.
so I bet this will bight konmai in the ass.
To be fair I've never really liked the idea of it being a "Hideo Kojima game", when hundreds of people pour years of their lives into making these alongside him.
Not really, he's in charge. It's no different to "The Obama Administration."
