Of course its always a good idea to read the news in multiple places. Their coverage of the Arab spring was some of the best live TV coverage I have ever watched. At times they seriously put themselves at risk to report to the outside world.

This should be interesting, most Americans still think Al Jazeera is some Al Qaeda-funded terrorist propaganda network or something. Nobody knows it's, like, actual news. Actual news that is often of higher quality than the US networks.

You don't like what's on BBC 1, well flick the telly to BBC 2 and see what's on there. At least what was normally on was good. But I was in one of the families that was able to get American channels because my mum sold houses to rich nobs. And yes, there were still a fuck-ton of commercial breaks.

al jazeera actually is a great news channel.. the only "world" news channel worth watching imo. I like how they use newsreaders from around the globe instead of just one place.
