but the red army soldiers are heroes even though they did much the same?
it's complicated
and they did not "do the same" although they wished to rule the world in two piece, or something

It's not complicated.
They done the same thing but they were on the winning team, so everyone has their blinders on about it.
Are you guys being fucking serious?
It's not the number that counts, it's the fraction of the population that has access which does.

So? His statement is still 100% correct.
That's not the point, and is what I tried to say in the spoiler tags. Do I really need to spell it out next time like this is primary school, or can we all have a cohesive discussion where relativity actually plays a part and where big numbers are nothing when they're out of context.
You immediately picked up on the silly point he made like the rest of us.

I'm quite sure a good portion of Russian's don't have internet access but its definitely not majority. Its not like it matters, because nobody is praising stalin, but rather victory and the people who died.
it's complicated and they did not "do the same" although they wished to rule the world in two piece, or something
the soviets did do a lot of similar shit. when the soviets were recapturing area that was formerly occupied by the axis, they would often massacre tons of civilians who were suspected of "collaboration" with the occupiers. not to mention when the axis were initially advancing in 1941 the soviets destroyed farms, roads, and even entire villages in order to deprive the germans of anything useful.
That paragraph is wrong in so many ways.
Which part?
It did catch Stalin unaware. He knew war was coming eventually but he expected at least a year or two and he was trying to appease Hitler by feeding him supplies from Iran, didn't expect such a quick backstab
Maybe we can call it heroism because some Russians soldiers survived the shit conditions the Red Army placed them in.
I'm surprised nobody posted the parade yet
