Halo Bootcamp Leaked, a PC Game, Microsoft Confirms.
UPDATE: PC gamers hoping Halo Bootcamp is the rumored PC port of Halo 3 may be in for a bit of disappointment. In the NeoGAF thread where this news originally surfaced, Google Translate was used to translate the Korean to English, which appeared to include a clear reference to Halo 3.
However, running the mysterious game’s description text through other translation services reveals a different picture. Here’s what Bing Translator has to say:
“‘Halo’ as a third-person point of view based on the worldview of the mission is going to be executing an action game of water
Minor violence representation (expressed as mere weaponry, attacks and a third-person point-of-blood description)
Thus, article 21 of the law on the promotion of the game industry and the provisions of article 9, paragraph 3, classified according to the classification as a ‘ 15 ‘ decision.”
There’s obviously a lot of murky English in there, but one thing is pretty clear. The description isn’t referring to Halo 3. Rather, it’s referring to a a third-person Halo game.
We clearly need help. Anyone speak Korean?
Man, that was years and years ago I was vaguely keeping an eye on SPv3. Is that coming out, or is it out?
Even if this isn't h3, it makes me more optimistic that its coming

Remember guys, the halo 3 driver profile?
That wasn't for Xbox one cause it ain't backwards compatible, so it probably IS for PC.
fuck all of these steamy piles and give me halo reach on pc
Give us 3, odst AND reach
Reach because forge world and invasion
Odst cause of campaign
And halo 3 for everything else
[editline]25th May 2013[/editline]
Or maybe this is a Korean version of h3? (Kind of like CS online?)

no Xbox can keep ODST. I would rather them have not released it at all. Not sure why you liked it's campaign, it was pretty laughable and the love interest plot was just hilarious.
firefight is still good
firefight is still good
yeah but thats all ODST had. It was basically just a platform to launch the halo reach beta.

I beg to differ, ODST had one of the better stories in the whole series.

I found it alright, far from my favorite Halo game but not bad or anything.
I had always wanted to play as an ODST.

I can give you 3 reasons why ODST needs to be on the PC:
Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, Alan Tudyk.
Bam, said the lady!
Microsoft, stop messing with my heart. Release Halo 3 on the PC, and I can forget about Xbox One for a while.
Halo 3, Steam Powered, Free Online Multiplater and Coop? I'd pay full price for that shit.
I'm calling it right now and saying it's going to be a MOBA.

I can't even tell what half of these icons even are. Arrows assaulting a dude? Elecricity hazard? Some... Glasses?
gender touching, mongolian arrow barrage, risk of being electrocuted 3 times, possible words, euthanasia, bondage, and a purse filled with W money.
duh.
Please.
Just give the series a break, you practically flat-lined the series for most fans with 4.
Don't do it any more.
Please
I beg of you.
Halo 4 was a lot better than Reach. The campaign was fun, reminded me of the open world that Halo 1 brought.
They've tuned the MP to be a whole lot better now. It's just right under H3 after all the tweaking they have done since release. Which you wouldn't know much about since you haven't played since the 1st of February.

As long as the Multiplayer has loadouts, perks and instant respawning it will continue being the worst in the series. They are making good changes(particularly with Slayer Pro now in BTB), but it needs a lot more work.

Reason I stoped playing Halo 4 is that there isn't Classic Slayer playlist (Weapons preset on the map)

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean others wouldn't like to play it on PC...
Korean Microsoft?
I've always said, MS ain't crazy, no reason to keep Halo 3 xbox360 exclusive, since it's phasing out. Next step is PC market, they know alot of people are willing to pay money for this.
Put Halo Combat Evolved, Custom Edition and Halo 2 on STEAM.
Release Halo 3 in a disc without DRM and then put it on STEAM.
Use no DRM. Then please make it require Steam.
Great going dude.
It's not like I don't use Steam almost exclusively, but you guys seem to be confused by the fact that Steam blurred the line between DRM and service.
Reclaimer saga is Halo 4,5, and 6.
Forerunner saga is 1, 2, and 3.
I feel like it should be the other way around. :v:

I think he means no bad DRM like GFWL.

Having it on steam doesn't mean it has steam's DRM. That's an option that developers can choose to implement if they want, but it isn't required. Even if they use steamworks features they still don't have to have the DRM.

Well, we agree on that Steam is nice for the most part - but there's still aspects that are very stupid. Up until just a few months ago you had to go through a lot of trouble just to have your games on two seperate harddrives - and even then I had trouble with this just today. I have two different install directories set up, but suddenly Steam doesn't want to aknowledge that when I try to install games - I have no options regarding install directories all of the sudden. If you have two users on the same computer (this might've been fixed now), but wanted to play the same game - you'd have to download it again, simply because of the way Steam manages games. It's also way to hard to move games from one directory to another - it's literally just copying the shit over and changing a few files, but it requires a total reinstall (and redownload, unless you trick Steam into doing it) if you want to do it on Steam. There's also a lot of performance (and otherwise) issues that should've been ironed out a long time ago.
Steam isn't by any means perfect, but the sales and the general convenience make up for it. It's still DRM and there's no getting around it.

What do you mean with "Steam's DRM"? If your game requires a Steam account, then it's set up with Steam's DRM.
I love how I've been getting tons of dumbs.
Do you guys really believe Microsoft wants something Halo-related released on the PC when the Xbox One's coming? What a joke.

I read that to mean "Release it without DRM and then also seperately release it on Steam"
Well, they did use Steamworks for the Age Of Empires 2 HD release.
Hopefully if they do something like this, they will remember not to use GFWL.

You call requiring an account DRM? There's quite a few games on steam that can be run without having steam running, you only need an account to buy and download them initially. If that counts as DRM then I guess all those DRM free games on gog.com are actually lying, since you need an account with GOG to buy and download them.

GFWL is most likely abandoned because it doesn't even have a working windows 8 release
