It's so stupid that the homosexuals, bisexual or trisexuals want a special recognition in the armed forces. I mean if they want attention then why shouldn't black people for example?
yeah, not being discharged for being a homosexual really means they want special attention. and trisexuals? wtf
It's so stupid that the homosexuals, bisexual or trisexuals want a special recognition in the armed forces. DADT was flawed to all hell and people were put under suspicion and had literally everything about them investigated if they made one slip of freedom while people were talking about their lives at home. It's not special recognition, it's the ability to live how they want if they serve their country. Special treatment my ass.
I'm ashamed that Santorum is supposed to represent my state.
Arsewipes. Gays are entitled to ask questions about their rights as much as we are.
They are no different to anyone else, your sexuality is completely private, I don't care who anyone fucks in the privacy of their own bedroom, it SHOULDN'T matter, but still people get shitty over it.
I'm ashamed that Santorum is supposed to represent my state.
So tell him how terrible he is. Send him a hand written letter (won't be disregarded as swiftly as an email) or something. No offense but I see a whole lot of you US guys complain about how republicans are shitting up your country yet when it comes to turning word into action you're like "meh, someone else'll fix it".
Just remember, when one of these candidates is on the national podium trying to pose as a moderate, these are the kind of people they come from and the kind of people they really represent. Well, those people and the ultra-rich, anyway.

Moderator Megyn Kelly? The fuck? The same megyn kelly from Fox News?
I was watching, it was pretty terrible. That being said, Rick Santorum doesn't "owe" the soldier an apology. He didn't boo. He's there to debate. It isn't his job to talk about the actions of a few people in the audience. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
Moderator Megyn Kelly? The fuck? A simple "that's unnecessary and disrespectful" would have sufficed. But the fact they said or did absolutely nothing makes the candidates just as bad, or maybe even worse, in my eyes. They're the ones who should know better and who may be running a country in the future.
honestly, who didn't see this coming? as soon as that soldier said he was gay, i turned to my friend and said "i just know someone is going to b-" and then i was cut off by people booing

It just annoys me a little to see some site that clearly has an agenda to push claim that Santorum "owes" him an apology. Would it have been nice if he had said something? Yeah, but he wasn't obligated to do so and I'm not surprised he didn't. He's there to get the crowd on his side, not to confront them.
No candidate, Republican on Democrat would have stood up to the crowd like that.
which is a problem.
which is a problem.
I guess. Though I'd imagine that the majority of us would keep our mouths shut if we were in Santorum's position. He isn't going to risk alienating the Republican crowd through confrontation. Not with a potential candidacy on the line.
Like I said it's problem when politicians worry more about their PR than what's right.
I'd say it's the way the political game has always been played. You do what looks good, not what's right.
Everyone who boo'd in the crowd can go and die in a fire.
Everyone who boo'd in the crowd deserves to be put on the frontline in a military conflict. These people fight for you, and you're suddenly up and arms that Mr. Tobias is gay? OH NO STOP OH THE HUMANITY. While he fights for you and you sit on your ass whining that you want Mr. Tobias to stop being in the army due to his homosexual behaviour.
Implying that some of us would want to make our lifes goal turning America into a hateful theocracy.
Not at all. I'm simply saying that if one of us were running for the GOP candidacy (for some reason) and were actually serious about winning it, we would have kept our mouths shut. Unless you're implying that every GOP candidate wants to turn America into a "hateful theocracy". That would be unnecessary and disrespectful.

Then he said he thought the booing was disrespectful and blah blah blah but given his response to the question it sounded like generic political ass-covering to me. Apparently fox was getting a lot of complaints that nothing was said about the booing guy. America's uniformed leaders support gays and lesbians serving alongside their colleagues with dignity and respect. Santorum's divisive and homophobic remarks do not befit a commander-in-chief,” http://www.logcabin.org/site/apps/nlnet/content2.aspx?c=nsKSL7PMLpF&b=6420733&ct=11231881
How uncivilized
I love Americans, (well, most of them) I just hate the people that run their country.
Do you love me? :3: [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline] Wait, that emote was removed? That's a load of Pisswhipple
If the candidates weren't hateful they would have said something here, PR be damned.
Fair enough, but I really doubt it.
Santorum: "Yeah, I — I would say, any type of sexual activity has absolutely no place in the military. And the fact that they're making a point to include it as a provision within the military that we are going to recognize a group of people and give them a special privilege
Give them a special privilege? Like serving in the military like any normal person? Republicans are fucking stupid, and so are the flakes that follow them. The crowd Boo'd and Santorum just gave an answer, a horrible one that didn't answer anything, as usual, that appealed to the crowd. Reminds me of he last debate when they were asked if they believed in Evolution and they all looked at each other to see who was raising their hands before they raised their own... It's pathetic
Why- why have they written down th-their stutters?
It's a transcript. You get every noise and stutter with it.
Jesus Santorum is dumb as a post.
You! Stop insulting good posts everywhere!
Yeah, it - it, well, it - well, i think maybe if - well, maybe when we - we work on improving our, uhh, speech impediment, maybe - maybe then we would be taken, uhh, slightly more seriously.
