I'll use it, I tend to have a hard time finding an excuse to actually go to my living room to play my consoles. I only play wii u games on the controller, its nice that xbox is doing something similar.
Wow fuck that title. And no Microsoft, I'm not gonna go out and buy your hardware so I can play it on other hardware running your software. Get over yourself.
Why are you so mad? What did you expect?
ill use this so i dont have to constantly switch displays on my monitor and can multitask easier
But wait, if you have your cable box hooked into the Xbox's HDMI passthrough, how would game streaming to PC work? Does the feature just stream your dashboard and games to your PC, or does it somehow split games and TV?

From what we saw, it replaces the dashboard with the application, streaming games and joining xboxparty/chat
Nothing shown about TV, there might be news later about it I guess
Got my fucking hopes up for nothing.
Sigh.

This is a step in the right direction. What Windows lacks most in regards to Apple is that sweet syncing and cross-device compatibility.
Looks like I was right to buy a Lumia 930 Windows Phone.
But what if the comment is actually "Mom and dad is watching TV, but I can still play my Xbone games on the fairly slow PC in my room"
It's like people deliberately don't see the potential in this. It's the same concept as the Wii U games on the Nintendo controller, just with a larger, better screen and not-so-portable. Have the Xbone in the living room, use it in your own room as well.
I don't think thats the point. This is a neat feature, limited, but neat, and it's the same as the ps4 - vita streaming, just more flexible, which is cool.
The problem people seem to have is that MS hyped win10 as their way to reconnect with the pc gaming community, and that there was going to be some awesome features and announcements that would prove their commitment to pc gaming... which was exciting, to say the least.
And, thus far, the only recommitment MS has shown to pc gaming has been xbox streaming and dx12. That is underwhelming to say the least, and changes basicly nothing in the relationship between MS and the pc gaming community.
I forgot, was microsoft supposed to focus more on PC gaming last year or this year?
why the fuck would you go out your way to play the expensive, crap xbox minecraft instead of the version on the PC?
Why would you go out of your way to play Minecraft?
Why would you go out of your way to play Minecraft?
Because it's rather fun and gives you the ability to be very creative.
Lol as someone who actually owns an xbox this is pretty sweet. I know you all just want to get around having to get an xbox to play a major xbox exclusive title, but that will never happen.
They aren't bringing major first party platform Xbox titles to PC, and will never do so - doing so would be brand suicide for the xbox. Anyone who seriously expected this was fooling themselves. If you want to play halo, you need an xbox. This is how it always was and will be.
Except now when the TV is being hogged up I can actually just -PLAY- all of my XB1 games on my PC as if they were PC games. Which is super awesome.
Not all that mad, was just trying to make a joke, how Microsoft plugs their stuff everywhere, and how it's kind of a backhanded/sarcastic, "gift," to the PC community. And by the title, I was expecting XBone titles running on my PC. Sorry for the confusion.

Don't know about 1st but 2nd was a cheap way to promote vista. And 2nd is where PC franchise ends.

It was also ultimately a flop because of that decision.
Which sucks, because they may have decided to port 3 if it was popular like Combat Evolved was.

Well they did say "It's time to show PC gamers some love". It so happens they were full of shit when they said that.

Exactly my point.
So basically instead of buying a decent PC you can now buy a console to stream to your not decent PC.
That's uh, that's great
maybe if i already had an xbone i would move it to the living room and that way some people could play single player games and have the environment to themselves if they want to play spooky games or whatever, but then stream the games to my monitor to play them when i wanted to play...
but even then I would just rather not stream something backwards like that... Also didn't they say they were going to let windows pc's run xbox games in like, windows 8?
I got really excited, then confused, then ultimately disappointed. My current computer kicks the shit out of the xbone in terms of performance and power, why would I want to waste time and bandwidth streaming games when I could achieve better performance with my desktop?
Quite a nice feature for me, I can move my laptop around and play Xbox wherever I want at the house, including outdoors
It still incredibly weird though, maybe it will be a prelude to something like an Onlive service, since MS doesn't make any money off the actual console it would be logical to have such a service in the future.
I don't get why people have to be intentionally obtuse about this kind of thing
if you have a "really powerful PC" and don't care about about the ability to stream then you obviously aren't the intended market for this feature
I've got a weak computer; if I played more video games I would be absolutely hype about this
I think hes crying tears because MCC isn't on PC like he wanted.
