Trees were falling all over the place in West-end Toronto from the weight of the ice. I got power back at 8am, 3 blocks south of me still has no power.

Woodbridge here, fucken laughing from that video because I saw that today too, honestly was a pretty fun day. Everything looks so nice with no power on and just ice and snow covering everything.
My place has power while neighboring areas don't. Friends out of power since 3am while mine was up and running.

Where in Woodbridge?
Report from GTA: Power outages everywhere, send electricity
All of my street lights are out. I assume the power line snapped somewhere.
It's like the apocalypse out there.
Kitchener-Waterloo got smacked; reason I wasn't on FP most of the day is that the storm killed my internet.
Power was out for 13-14 hours here.
In HV-GB, there is little change here other than some mild winds and very, very cold temperatures.
Reporting in from outside Buffalo. The Canal is flooding in my backyard. I lost a few trees in my front yard. Nothing too crazy for us here but the Buffalo Bills won so we remain content.
I was without power for 14 hours

The entire street might lose a lot of trees. Since they are just split in two most of the times
North Bay here, we got ~20 cm of snow today but no freezing rain (thankfully), although the snow is supposed to keep coming until tomorrow :(
Reporting from Queensland Australia:

Reporting in from Ottawa, Ontario. Nothing here but white, fluffy snow.

Had some rain the other day but it didn't freeze over anything.
I'm from Ontario, Whitby area.
Our hydro was out most of the day.. It was really nasty trying to walk anywhere.
Walking the streets at like, 9PM with no lights on or anything, and every house was pretty much black had got to be thee most eeriest thing I've experienced.
It was like a dead town, with the silence as well.

Probably not the greatest pictures.. But I tried to capture the destruction of this ice storm.
Sudbury area reporting, we got some snow and thats it.
Ontario Napanee got hit hard too. I was walking around town last night and felt like I should've worn ice skates rather then running shoes.
Most sidewalks I just slid down since no body even bother's to remove the ice on them, not even the township.
Everything is fine here in Western Nova Scotia... I think. I have not been outside all day. Hah.
Report from columbus, ohio: all of our snow melted and we are now underwater
I was just playing CS:GO with someone earlier tonight who had over 900 ping and was because they were in the middle of this :v:

Southern Ontario/Quebec =/= central Canada
Northern Ontario/Manitoba/Saskatchewan = central Canada
Ice storms are so fucking cool
Problem is they pretty much screw up powerlines/trees falling/etc and make it impossible to drive so
This still isn't as bad as the one back in 1998.
That one brought down Transmission towers. I remember actually that our house door was frozen solid and we couldn't get out of the house. Luckily one of dad's friends happen to coming over and was able to break apart the ice outside.
Second tree annihilating storm that's occurred since I bought my house and twice large portions of trees, if not the entire tree, has fallen on a neighbor's vehicle.
I need to have that my removed.
Also somehow the blocks surrounding me, the highway to work, and a coworker's block are all without power, but we're fine. Lucky I guess. Can't imagine it's fun being without power in winter.
Ontario, st. Catherine's here. Lost power for 2 hours in the morning. I used to live in the Bahamas though and the power went out all the damn time there so 2 hours of waiting was an old familiar past-time for my family and I.
Upstate NY, Appalachian Mountains:
Nature forgot how to winter. Everything Even the slightest bit North of here = LOL 2 INCHES OF ICE.
Infact, Nature forgot how to winter so much that this ice storm ended up melting our 1 and a half foot deep snow. (There's literally none left.)
Reporting in from germany, it rained a lot yesterday, and a little bit less today. I'm walking around in autumn clothes.
