this is how it begins, this is how it ends
Pretty sure a course of antibiotics is how it ends [editline]3rd October 2015[/editline] Seriously, this stuff has 0 resistance to any antibiotics
He'll probably have nothing exceptional happen to him, but injecting bacteria which has survived for millions of years in hopes of it giving you it's timelessness sounds a bit like injecting yourself with cancer cells in hopes of gaining it's incredible resilience to being killed off. Sure, it's great at keeping itself alive. Unless it's found inside a three million year host, it's probably safe to assume that the quality doesn't become mutual.
Anatoli Brouchkov awoke one morning, to find he had turned into a giant cockroach.
Anatoli Brouchkov awoke one morning, except he didn't, as he had died in his sleep.
And now we wait
the article's not entirely clear, but it seems he actually injected himself with it about two years ago
One small injection for man, one giant leap for mankind.
man it's really sad how we have to remind the population of that kind of shit wouldn't surprise me if we forgot the Holocaust within a few generations
Of course we will. It's in the past. And we'll forget about the war on terror a dozen generations after it ends, too. It's no longer relevant at that point.

A bacteria that cannot defend itself against our evolved immune system is going to provide the man eternal life. Ok.
A bacteria that cannot defend itself against our evolved immune system is going to provide the man eternal life. Ok.
dude, you have clearly never watched any scifi movies
This is the dumbest news article I've read in a while, not only the news itself but also the writing is dumb.
apparently a vague awareness going back 25 years makes you a history buff now
Theres a large amount of the population that doesnt know what Y2K was and that was 15 years ago
A bacteria that cannot defend itself against our evolved immune system is going to provide the man eternal life. Ok.
Well, it did give plants mild regenerative abilities and it allowed slightly older rats to keep their willy up so this bug definitely has something. And if the man is already injecting himself with the bacteria, which is pretty dumb, then he can do another dumb thing and take something to debilitate his immune system to allow the bug to not die instantly. So yeah, the bug combined with stupidity might give us something neat. Or at least something to complement viagra!
Better get a steroid abuser that can punch big boulders, in case this goes horribly wrong.
well that guy doesnt look like he could be accurate in shooting at all so i wouldnt be worried
No you see, since his head is falling off the side, holding the gun upright is the equivalent of a sideways kill shot.
