Where are work there are lots of islamic people and I chat to them from time to time, and having nice theological talks with them is actually really comforting. They've been fasting for ramadan recently, so I've had to alternate my breaks so they can get one in before they have to start fasting for the day and talking to them about it I've learned a fair bit about why they do it.

the thing is I really don't care if its the spread of Islam or Christianity or Judaism or X religion, we as a Western nation have certainly advanced way beyond them scientifically and technologically, and somewhat societally. Evidently we have grown out our need for an organized religion, but these people haven't and they bring their archaic thinking with them. Keeping these people in the dark isn't going to help though and they need to be enlightened. So we need open discussions about what they believe in and why they are wrong.
