The large framework of this bill is surrounded by the politicians, who are surrounded by the people of said state. See, southerners like people who hate gays. Then, southern politicians present anti-gay agendas for the state. As a result, they get elected. It's a strategy. Do you honestly think that Republican politicians are so moronic as to even conceive ideas as monumentally stupid as these? Especially when many of these politicians have expensive, high-quality educations? It's a paradoxical equation, a logical impossibility. It's the same reason Donald Trump was questioning Obama's birth certificate, and it's the same reason that people in the Tennessee state legislature were elected; Uninformed, and poorly-educated conservative citizens. These people were failed by the United States educational system (thanks, NCLB), corrupted by religious hate (yay evangelism), and were practically spat in the face by their own parents. The parents ended up spitting lies and hatred in the faces of their children because they were failed by the United States educational system, corrupted by religious hate, and were practically spat in the face by their own parents. It's a continuous cycle that started after the Lincoln administration. Poorly-groomed minds (thanks to the same people they're voting for) making ill-conceived decisions about right and wrong.
