Welp. Anonymous to Launch Their Own File-Sharing Service - Anonyupload.com

I wouldn't trust them with important documents, but then again I never upload anything containing any sensitive data anywhere.
This might actually turn out to be a decent site for general file sharing, like game mods, pictures and whatnot
Is there any actual confirmation that this is from Anon and not some random faggot?
You don't seem to understand how Anonymous works, by its definition anyone and everyone can be a part of "Anon".
Not sure if I would trust these clowns with my files.
Then buy a new hardrive and don't use uploading sites.

Uh, okay? Why did you direct that at me?
Anonymous are mass protesting SOPA! Yay!
Anonymous are starting a free file host! Fuck those retarded fags!

I dont think anyone is praising the way they have been "protesting" sopa.
A solid, trustworthy structure is most important for this kind of thing and I don't think Anon can deliver that. It's also pretty polarizing and might draw a lot of (negative) attention from other hackers, "mole" hackers in the own ranks and government officials of course.
I honestly expected something in the P2P direction from them tho, all the hosting services backing down right now is displaying very vividly the downsides of centralized information storage.
Also I think this anon website is an FBI undercover website.

Anonymous doesn't protest anything. All they do is add fuel to fire to stir shit.
So why is everyone against Anonymous. I'm not actively supporting them, but they're doing some major good right now. Stop whining over the fact it's a bunch of kids, because it's not. Anonymous and 4chan are essentially 2 different things now. Only the big time guys are Anon really.
You get a personal account apparently.
Maybe they should change their name to pseudonymous.

Anon is some random faggot.

They can't really protest SOPA as it is now gone until better decisions can be made. Mostly will come back under a new name.
It's more "protesting the general state of political affairs in America".

I guess it's a ~Conspiracy~
Their site doesn't look too bad right now....

What good exactly? Shutting down websites for a few minuets because the FBI shutdown someone who was legitimately profiting off of pirated content? Attacking random websites to "raise awareness"? What exactly have they done to improve anything?
Not sure if I would trust these clowns with my files.
I'd rather host my files with someone that I know will not lose it.
Like BayFiles
The anonymous people lost their credibility?
...in my book
First mistake, they've registered a .com. USA has control over .com registrations
I am anonymous (hint you can't see my username anymore)
First mistake, they've registered a .com. USA has control over .com registrations
They might change it...?
And other file hosting sites have .com too since it's easier to remember instead of .cz.nz.whatever
First mistake, they've registered a .com. USA has control over .com registrations
yeah that's the first thing I noticed when I checked out the site. why bother getting servers in russia when your domain can be seized by the U.S.
Waiting for Anonyporn
no https, .com domain and they want donations from paypal
yeah nice idea but wow it's like they didn't even try to execute properly
no https, .com domain and they want donations from paypal

chances are it's just a ploy to get money
They might change it...?

"they might" is not exactly the most convincing argument when we're talking about a service that might have to handle sensitive information.
Anon's operations are known for good intentions with terrible executions, people are afraid this project will turn out to be no better.
I wouldn't trust them with files that had personal data (like any other file hosting service), but I'd quite happily put stuff I was going to share anyway on there. I defiantly won't donate till I know they are going to last though.

Who gives a shit about it having a easy to remember top-level domain, when it's one they're not in control of?
Jeez, most people are either gonna bookmark it and send the link to other people interested or slap up some QR codes.
Besides search engines, even though they do sometimes bend over because the RIAA & MPAA tells them to.
wow they created a file sharing service how fucking retarded
Yeah the fuckheaded groups of greasy shutins that are notorious for stealing and posting personal information is offering to host your files. That sounds pretty fucking stupid to me.
